The Hottest Hot Sauce Challenge!
Ok, for the last few years I've been trying to find food that was seriously spicy. Something so hot that it took some serious eating.
I've visited many curry restaurants, tried many kebabs with chilli sauce but I was always sadly dissapointed. I explained to my local curry restaurant that I wanted the hottest thing they could make. It arrived, I tried it, it was a let down ![]() So the search on the internet began. I purchased a bottle of Da Bomb from a website following claims of it being 'the hottest sauce in the world' (wasn't that site I bought it from, I can't remember which I got it from, but I'll be using that site next). Da Bomb was what I'd been looking for. It's ridiculously hot at 234,000 Scoville units. I use it very rarely and even then only in small quantities. A drunken friend the other night had a small amount on a crisp and was sick twice and his mouth was burning for hours. So at this point I was thinking I had a winner and was satisfied that I'd tried the hottest thing on Earth. It appears I was wrong... Looking at that site I've found sauces and aditives that go above 1,000,000 scovilles! It appears the experiment continues ![]() So anyone else want to take part and keep me informed? I'll be buying a couple more hot products this week. One word of warning, wash your hands when handling this type of stuff. I rubbed my eye about an hour after cooking and could only compare the pain to something close to having CS spray in your eyes! Seriously, be careful ![]() (remember this can cause breathing issues and should be kept away from kids etc. so always follow the warnings or instructions on the side of the bottles.) |

It appears the official world's hottest product is on this page, however I don't really feel like spending the £299 it costs to get my hands on it

Tobasco is my limit. I used to eat Vindaloo, that gave me trots enough, so I won't be contesting your record. Good luck though on finding the pinnacle, oh by the way, isn't there a particular chilli that has some kind of world record for heat?

The sauce that I link to in my second post above officially has a world record, recognised by Guiness Book.
Too expensive for me, but I've found the next best thing and it's only £24 ![]() Here goes.................. |

These are the hottest:
The merciless peppers of Quetzlzacatenango! Grown deep within the jungle primeval by the inmates of a Guatemalan insane asylum.
