Apparently someone on one of the Wedding sites has reported being approached to buy a wedding dress by a strange group of people one of which she now recognises as Sara who was modelling a dress. This was last October time I gather, they said they were filming a documentary but her friend recognised Margaret hovering nearby. So I guess it is filmed quite a while before it's shown.
I didn't know if I should have doen this as some sort of spoiler but unfortunately I don't know how to, so apologies if anyone does think I am giving something away .

I know Wikipedia isn't the most reliable source, but it says on there that they filmed a task in October beside One Canada Square. It's apparently the task to be scheduled for week 8.
I can tell you for definite now that the filming took place last October/November.
We dont get the results leaked because the contestants sign "Confidentiality Agreements" which have heavy penalties.
The "your fired" shows are filmed a day or so before Wednesday of the week the show is aired.
Another secret. The Boardroom is a TV Studio. The scene of the contestants getting into a taxi is not filmed immediately after they have been fired. Each individual departure is filmed on the same day at the start of the series filming. The taxi is the same but you never see its licence plate otherwise you will know it is the same on!
Also the contestants all wear coats when they get into the taxi so you dont see the different suit of clothing from what they are wearing when they are sacked.

Margaret stated this in an interview with Nick in one of the national papers before this series was aired, so no I wouldnt count it as a spoiler.

That was pretty obvious with Shazia's firing last week. She left the boardroom with her hair straightened, but left the building to get into the taxi with her hair curly. Then her in-taxi interview her hair was straight again.
This probably isn't adding anything to the discussion that hasn't already been said, but just as a matter of interest:-
I noticed in Week 3's task (the Pub Grub) that a chalkboard behind the boys made mention of the "Rugby World Cup" matches being aired at the pub (which would've made the filming of that task surely in the September-October 2007 period? - although as BelligerentBoss points out, we already know that to be the case)

I've heard this a lot but just don't believe it. To effectively ask the contestants to do a couple of acting scenes, one where they win and the other where they lose, takes all credibility from the final boardroom showdown.
We want to see their real reaction to being hired/fired. If I found out the final decision was merely one clip of a two way possibility filmed months prior, i'd lose my interest in the final show.
I don't think they film two alternate series endings as at least one version of the reactions would be fake emotion. If they told the applicants before hand they'd be doing taht then bothe sets of reactions would be false. I don't see it.

Well, I'm afraid that is exactly what happens - Simon Ambrose was quite open about the two versions last year and "SirAlun" has also given media interviews making it clear he then takes each candidate out for lunch in the days preceding the final programme being aired to tell them which one has actually been successful.

At the end of the day it is a TV show which is there to entertain us - and thats what it does, it doesn't actually matter how it is done

We watch it to view at first hand, the victor's genuine response to winning the series. If what we see is just a pre-staged act, then we are not seeing what we're lead to think.

It is an entertainment show - not a competition that we as viewers can influence.
If it was real they wouldn't use a set as the boardroom either, or an actress as Frances. Or film everyone getting fired and leaving in the taxi on the same day before they have even done their first task. Nor is it filmed across 12 or 13 weeks.
It is not meant to be real, unlike X Factor for example. If you want to believe it is real, that is just how you have interpreted it.

Hang on, you're now attempting to sell this show down the avenue of Coronation Street, with it's studio, actors and pre staged edits. You're also saying it isn't real.
Yes it is real! There's a real job on offer to the winner for £100k+ per year. That's what the audience is informed, and the tasks are genuinely set up to identify the best candidates.
I don't think anybody gives a monkey's about whether the boardroom is an office or studio, or whether a two second walk to a taxi is pre-recorded or not.
To pre-record the successful candidate winning the series in what is effectively an acting scene, is a completely different ball game though. It's the pinnacle of the 12 week show, it's the moment you've waited for after three months, then you find out it's nothing more than a fake act.

I always thought they were filmed around October time but thought I'd read somewhere recently that this one was around the end of the year, perhaps even into January.
Thinking about it weather-wise, as someone said it must start in the Autumn and go into Winter, as the weather gets progressively worse.
I also knew the taxi-getting scenes were pre-recorded at the start but thought the hiring board-room scenes were only filmed a week or so before they go out and that there was only one take of that one... what a swiz.
