IMO, he has to win this.

He has his head screwed on, has common sense AND a brain, can put his point of view across without being rude and seems like a team player and a leader at the same time.

Simon to win!

P.S. It looks like he has a fan in Sir Alan as well.

Seconded.

Sralan was playing to the gallery last night, when he strung us out with "Simon... ... ...you're.. safe". Nicely done... it was obvious that he wouldn't fire Simon, but it had me on the edge of my seat nonetheless.

He was the only one making any sense out of the boys team at all last night! He's my total fav!

He is my favourite so far, I really like him. I think he has all the skills, as he is prepared to roll his sleaves up and get on with it, aswell as thinking things through and organising.

I hope he does well

He's bound to be good - he's got the same name as me !

My fav so far too, he won the last challenge for them too by arranging everyone in the launderette challenge, he seems a grafter, and has his head screwed on.

I think he's great - very worried for him for next week, though, as 'let me be Project Manager and I'll show you' is a pretty risky card to play and the clips don't look good for him. I'm not sure Sir Alan would choose him as the Apprentice, only going on who he's chosen in the past, but he seems a real hard worker, fair and the only one so far I actually wouldn't hate working with.

That's what worries me as well.

He tends to pick people that can be moulded.

He's my favourite too, but the grafting might go against him in the end.

He's great so far, wonder if a Simon can win two years in a row.

I really like him too but not sure he's the right 'apprentice' - he's too good!

At the moment, I think he is the best candidate by a distance...still early days mind, and it will be interesting to see how he steps up to the challange of being team leader...

Nice guy, gets stuck in grafts with whatever is required.

If next week if he does a good job of leading and wins for his team, there would be then a good chance of him being there to the end.

He's the only one with any common sense, he holds his cool when others are talking crap to him, gets his point accross, is committed to the tasks, he seems like a good bloke.

I just hope he can deal with any 'backstabbers' that he's bound to have in his team next week.

Oh and he's a hammer which has got to be a good thing

Absolute agreement

(Mind you, I do tend to be the kiss of death to Apprentice candiates I like )

I think he's great. he doesn't play to the cameras (well not as much as the others), has his head screwed on and actually reminds me of a load of the down to earth suits you see in the City.
He's also kindacute in a sergeanty uniform kinda way...

I think he's great too, and seems to be one of the few candidates to take a sensible and realistic viewpoint on things.

He reminds me of the comedian Mark Thomas, which is no bad thing really (better than looking like Matt Lucas)!

Thank you, it's been driving me mad since the beginning who he reminds me of

I like him. Let's face it, he won the laundry task last week.

I've been looking in TV programmes for 'The Apprentice' and thought there wasn't a thread.
Hope you don't mind me butting in time to time.
I love the programme, Simon is one of my favourites at the moment.

I agree; he just gets on with the task assigned to him.

The others are all busy battling with their egos.

Simon is a grafter and seems to have common sense. Doubtful that he'll win. I hope he does though.

I like Simon and think it is realy bad that his hardwork gets used against him by others suggesting he doesnt have the skills to do anything but work hard. He seems to have common sense and great organisational skills and I hope he does well. But I agree, he is not really a Sir Alan Apprentice type.

I'll join this thread, the one with the most common sense out of all of them.

Did it look like he's going to be a team leader next week to anyone else?
