I like Simon very much. I hope he is project manager next and does well. I would love him to win - going on what we have seen so far. You never can tell. Remember Ansell?

Simon is from Harlow. It is the same part of the world as Surallan lives in and works in. There would be no issues with regard to relocation. And Simon will not be getting pregnant - probably.

So Simon has been fired, but, I think he is still a winner in all the ways that really matter...

He certainly is a winner. You think back to all the You're Fired programmes. Which of the people sitting behind that desk would you want to hire? I think he'd come pretty high up.

everyone clearly loved him - a true gent, well done Simon

I agree he is a winner.
I think his army - NCO - background shows. It must take years to retrain your thinking.
Considering all he has been through he is a great achiever.

I am not fond of people saying that someone will "never" be able to do something - no-one can ever tell that really and it is a bit like putting a curse on them. I accept that Simon was maybe not the right man for the apprentice job - but he will be a success and I think we will see more of him in the future. Nice chap.

The only person I would have been glad to work with. Massive shame that he should go so early.

I'm devastated, and completely unmotivated to carry on with the series now.

aww, I know, I do think he has gone way to early....I'm going to throw some support Raefs way, but more than anything I'm hoping to see certain people *coughs* Alex-and-Claire *coughs* get their comeuppance....

I was gutted (as the other person) that he went

Simon, great bloke - we're gonna miss you, mate.

Yeah definitely a winner.

I had him pegged as my favourite early on and it's a real shame he's gone. I think Sralan was wrong to fire him tonight (though he did lose money, he had two terribly ignorant team members in Claire and Alex) and thought he could've gone the distance.

Would like to see him do well out of this and perhaps pop up on TV somewhere, as other 'firees' have done in the past. At any rate, he's better than a lot of the candidates still there and certainly better than just putting up BSKYB dishes (probably Amstrad!!) and "building a wall".

Totally gutted that Simon's gone.

After seeing him in The Apprentice......You're Fired! - what a lovely bloke. It made me fancy him even more than I did before!

Interesting quote from the Times today:

Quote:
“Simon had a ramrod decency, a genuine lack of bile, and was therefore bad entertainment.”

In some ways I am glad he was fired as I feel he is too nice for the whole The Apprentice experience. If he stayed in it longer, the bichiness from certain people towards the rest of the group would have intensified and I don't think Simon would have been able to handle it.

SAS made the wrong decision - Claire should have gone He spent most of the time in boardroom laying into her and that should have sealed her fate.

I'm glad that most people watch TAYF as you saw the (what I believe is) the real Simon, not the impression you got of him from the negative clips cobbled together in the main programme.

The Apprentice is becoming just like all the other reality shows.

I so agree The thing about hiring someone is after choosing someone who can actually do the job you want someone who you would like to have around.

Now most of the people on this show this year I would not want to have around - would be worried all the time that I might find something sharp between my shoulder blades

However Simon showed he was not the sort to 'manage SAS's portfolio' which seems to be what he wants this year BUT Simon will do well out of this appearance as everyone likes him, he is a grafter and would really like to have someone like this on their team.

So keep an eye on this guy and lets see what happens now - or of course it may have happened as this was filmed some months ago ....

Sadly that says it all in reality tv nowadays.

Simon was a positive attribute to whichever team he was on, hopefully someone will recogise his potential and snap him up quickly.

According to the Sun he's doing his satellite job still but hopefully that will all change soon now he has the exposure.

Plus, there's always the final where he should make an appearance.

i concur, great bloke, honest, and a real worker and he has morals and principles, something which some of the other candidates lack.

Awwww...I too am gutted that Simon has gone - I kept hoping that Claire was going to get the bullet, but it was sadly not to be. Watched You're Fired & I thought he was a genuinely lovely guy - somebody, as you've all said on here, that you'd be more than happy to work with. I wish him all the very best - I thought he was great to watch - so enthusiastic, willing to get stuck in and to put his neck on the line to prove himself...sadly, it was not to be. Now we're left with all the backstabbing witches (and that includes the blokes!!)...

We could send a hitman out to tke out all the other contestants-so he'd have to win by default of being the only one left alive.
