Meh I expected this to be a thread about tube train fares, and all I find is folks complaining about the price of shop bought sandwiches....

There was a whole thread dedicated to the London subway yesterday.

Due to essential maintenance the Northern Line is suspended.

I love subway sandwiches in fact I'm tucking into a ham and turkey one now with japepenos and extra chilli sauce - but it will be my last for a while.

It's gone from a semingly nice freshly made sarnie place at a good price to a hastily thrown together bap of mess for 2 quid extra!

bah - very disspointed!

I wish they could be sued for the horrible smell that comes out of their doors and invades the street. That Salsa sauce stink makes me feel ill when I have to walk past a Subway. It certainly doesn't lure me in.

My local subway was doing any sub and drink for £1 the other week, now if only they could do that on a daily basis!

I agree, there is two on the Finchley Road and they reek to high heaven.

I like the smell of subway too
I don't actually have mine toasted so does that mean I have a part baked bread roll?

Nah, they just toast it to melt the cheese... I think anyway.

I've never understood the big fuss about Subway - isn't it just a big sandwich?

I went once and they had ran out of bread

Yesterday when they asked me what sub I wanted I said 'Akula Fast Attack Sub' but they didn't understand me

I've never bought anything from Subway. Too expensive for me.

Me too, also I can't work out what they're selling . All the products have vague names which I can't decode.

They've set up a franchise in my local supermarket but theres no way I'm paying for G knows what .

Maybe I could persuade some gullible friend to 'sub ' me one.

I have never liked the fact that they warm the chicken up in microwaves.

Is that safe??

It's not a con when you consider that the pricing is in a giant font right in front of you.

I should know, as that's my local too.

edit: Wait... I think I just worked out who this is! Hi, by the way!
