I'm an absolute 'thicko' where TVs are concerned. My Thomson Widescreen TV will not come out of Standby mode. Tried switching on via TV buttons, 2 remote controls(dedicated TV and Sky) with fresh batts - still no joy. Standby light just blinks for a bit and nothing. Switched on DVD player - not even anything comes on screen - dvd is working OK but TV still refuses to come out of Standby.
Am I right in thinking TV Dead - buy new one?
