According to Virgin Media, not at any time soon, which, I am afraid to say, is rather worse than 'Coming Soon'.

This channel also shows up on a scan on my non sky or freesat box. Could be a bit of a scoop for VM over the summer, particularly as some subs over the various platforms will drop anyway with the end of the football season.

From VM's own mouth here...

Eurosport 3D is now showing French Open Tennis! Don't have a 3d set or the glasses, though so can't tell you anymore. The channel schedule bears no relation to any other Eurosport schedule, so presumably it will just be used for 3D events.

Actually, I think this means I will need to buy a 3D telly for the London Olympics.

They were showing the same live match as the BBC stream earlier today...

Split screen for anyone who hasn't seen it. Looks just like 2 normal screens when viewed on a 'normal' tv. One slightly to the left and the other to the right of center.

So we now have four Eurosports as the HD version isn't always the same as British?

The inertia of VM is so tiresome.
Cable should offer all channels, like CBS, Al Jazeera, BET, etc etc....... This thread has as much life in it as a crematorium!

If you cross your eyes, you will see a squashed 3D picture in the middle!!

You have the best of both worlds (VM & Freesat), but you shouldn't have to have a free alternative when you're paying for TV services!

I don't understand your logic, Richard. If that were the case, we wouldn't be able to get BBC1 on Virgin Media.

IMO, we should be able to access all the free channels via cable. After all, it doesn't cost anything, does it? And VM appear to have resolved their bandwidth issues.

Of course it costs something. Just because the 'free' channels aren't charged to the viewer on certain platforms doesn't mean there aren't costs involved

You've misunderstood me

I meant that brendagoats has both VM and Freesat, but that there should be no need for her to have to get Freesat in order to obtain free channels that should be available on a TV platform that she is paying for!

Thanks for explaining that, Richard, now it makes sense!

Received a code drop last night in the Thames Valley (Wokingham) area. It has cleared three programmes that I haven't been able to delete, so I'm well pleased. It's given me another couple of hours on my hard drive as well, now that they are gone.

The digits on the clock that comes up are also clearer - almost as if they are in HD.

Has anyone noticed any other changes? Haven't had a chance to take a good look yet and my wife is watching the soaps

The Eurosport 3D channel has reverted back to a placeholder card until the next event comes along. Tour de France, maybe?

Sorry for the delay - I couldn't get beyond my password screen to post a reply for a few days! Mine's a V+ box.

Ta. I've also got V+ but there's been no code drop here in Edinburgh. Presumably it will take its time. Wonder if the Search programmes works now - Virgin claimed it would be fixed in a Real Soon Now code drop.

BBC HD on 187 seem to be preparing to show some 3D stuff - I saw a Preview this morning that had the same split screen thing as we got on the Eurosport HD channel. They are planning to do the Wimbledon finals in 3d, I think.

Yes, 3D coverage of the singles finals at Wimbledon will be shown on the BBC HD channel.

How long as the option to switch off the clock when the V+ is in standby been in "Display and Audio > Clock settings"? Spotted this yesterday! On the Samsung V+ everything goes off except for the red power LED.
