How long as the option to switch off the clock when the V+ is in standby been in "Display and Audio > Clock settings"? Spotted this yesterday! On the Samsung V+ everything goes off except for the red power LED.
It's new this week. The menus will have had a reshuffle as well
Will be coming to all the other V Boxes as well over the next couple of months

That's because the V HD box doesn't record anything, so doesn't always need to be on

The TiVo does

BBC HD on 187 seem to be preparing to show some 3D stuff - I saw a Preview this morning that had the same split screen thing as we got on the Eurosport HD channel. They are planning to do the Wimbledon finals in 3d, I think.
Yes, 3D coverage of the singles finals at Wimbledon will be shown on the BBC HD channel.
What if you don't have a 3D TV but still want to watch 2D in HD on the BBC HD channel? Will both be available simultaneously?

My only experience with 3D to date has been when 3D programmes were transmitted in SD to be watched with 3D glasses. Without the glasses, the colour was blurred to facilitate the stereoscopy effect.

Perhaps modern 3D transmissions are encoded differently so that this does not happen if you are watching with a non-3D HD TV, a bit like listening to stereo FM radio on a mono receiver (or stereo vinyl records on a mono player).

Perhaps it'll be 3D on BBC HD (ch 187?) with 2D(HD) on BBC1 HD (ch 108). Just a thought.

Sky Anytime now added on VOD

You'll find it (I have TiVo, so it may differ for other boxes) in TV Choice, By Channels.

However, for Sky Movies (providing you're a Sky Movies Collection subscriber) you'll find it in Movies on Demand, Sky Movies.

On Tivo, if you can't see it, then go to 'Help & Settings', Settings, Network, Connect to the Virgin Media TV Service now.

They seem to be adding stuff at regular intervals as the list has grown quite a lot since I looked last night.

Brilliant! I've been looking forward to getting SkyAnytime and at last it is here, before many Sky viewers can access it as well! Excellent work, Virgin Media, and thank you Sky. Haven't seen the menu yet but can't wait to have a peek later this evening.

Good addition. Shame there's very little on it. Sky 1 is 50% Ross Kemp stuff & Sky Arts has only 2 things. The press release says, "Sky Anytime has already started rolling out to customers on Virgin's XL TV tier, giving them access to shows such as Glee and Terra Nova, as well as content from Sky Arts, Sky Living and other Sky channels.".

Just noticed this other thread http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1553217

Sky 1 has House and Glee amongst other things, there's a lot more on than 'Ross Kemp stuff'.

Strangely enough, I do know what is on Sky 1. What I meant was that Anytime does not have much on it yet, althought I see there is more today.
