By 'they' I assume you mean VM.

Have they ever actually said so or is it just forum chinese whispers?
Yes, I did mean VM.

Being full was the reason why Arsenal TV wasn't able to launch straight away and other channels - Al Jazeera English comes to mind - have also said that there is no room to be able to launch their channel.

I don't recall that any channel was taken off for Arsenal TV, I'm just not convienced that the notion that cable is full is correct, it only seems to be 3rd parties that say it is.

They seem to find room for channels/feeds that they want on the platform. (BB, DMAX, MTVR, BBCI)

VM have both claimed and denied that they are bandwidth constrained. It depends on what they want to spin at the time.

I thought they added Arsenal TV when Price Crash TV Closed.

Sci-fi +1 update 2

It look like Sci-Fi +1 will NOT appear on Virgin TV on Tuesday. I have also remove that story from my list.

Info from an Virgin Media Insider.

No that was a while before. Challenge Jackpot appeared not longer after Price Crash closed.

Going by the space taken up on the V+ between 4 and 5.
How many SD channels can be broadcast in the same bandwidth as one analogue channel? With the phasing out of analogue how much bandwidth will this free up? I realise that some of the released bandwidth may go for broadband and on-demand services but, theoretically, how many SD channels could it facilitate?

1 analogue channel = 9/10 digital channels or 2 HD channels.

They had a 'Broadcaster experiencing problems' slate here earlier. Now they are broadcasting with no EPG data.

I watch Hallmark a lot (Diva not so much!) and welcome the timeshift variant to avoid conflict with my other favourites.
