They're both annoying, goofy idiots who behave like timid little boys in the boardroom.

Because I wasn't here on DS for the last series of The Apprentice, what was the general opinion of Simon? I personally thought him even getting as far as the final 5 was a travesty, let alone winning the damn thing.

I think Simon was more likable, but no way did he deserve to win over Kristina.

Well given the quotes from Margaret and Nick in the papers Michael appears to last for a good few weeks yet. Perhaps there will be a task to come on setting up and running an escort agency.

He's 100% funnier than Simon.

The dance... the segmented 50-50 pizza.. the 'too diminuitive' negoiation... this guy is pure comedy!!

There's also something funny about the way he admits mistakes in the boardroom in that slightly vacant, put-you-foot-in-it way.

Can't wait to see what he does next!

No way. What about Simon's rap, break-dancing & television presenting skills. I almost died laughing when he was fiddling with the trampolene legs near his crotch.

And of course, imitating Lohit:

Michael makes me laugh more than Simon did...but they are both muppets.

Both were/are quite amusing. I prefer Michael so far.

I'll still never understand how on earth Simon ended up winning.

I liked Simon, but he should have been fired on the TV selling task, and deffinatly didnt deserve to be hired, in particular being up against Kristina.

Simon was a bumbling fool. I think Sir Alan had already decided he wanted to employ him before the final. Otherwise, Simon would have been sent packing after the telly-shopping task which he made a complete hash off.

I like Michael - he's quite endearing, but twice now he's sold stock/products too cheaply.

haha yeah i find it hilarious, why does he do it? does he want to get brought into the boardroom and fired? he's amazing lol, he really reminds me of a little boy, the way he talks, thinks, dances.

But that's what I like about Michael. His honesty.

Simon wasn't exceptional in any tasks last year really, iirc. Yes Michael reminds me a bit of him as well, although a tad more annoying.

Neither do I. He had a tendency to be rather gormless.

I think he'd sell his own mother to save his skin

His first boardroom meeting was very revealing when he managed to squirm his way out of being pulled in by acting the injured party. Considering that it was his great idea to sell the whole lot of the fish to a bunch of solicitors and effectively getting the team beat, then he got off lightly....and he knew it.

I think he's a bit of a snake and I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. He's also totally playing to the cameras with his singing, knowing fine well that he'll get some edits.

Entertainment value = nil (Far too contrived)
Business acumen = nil ( you don't sell fish to lawyers)

Oh I think that's harsh!

I'm taking him at face value at the moment - i.e. someone who is refreshingly honest about his weaknesses and not just his strengths. Time will tell....

Harsh?

Have you read the posts about the females on the show?

Seriously though, he's a real little snake who will go far in the show because he has already caught the producer's attention with his little song routine ...and also for being a bit of a squirmy wimp in the first boardroom meeting.

Him and Kevin will go far for all the wrong reasons on this show... IMVHO of course

Well he did it again tonight in the boardroom!

His definitely no Simon Ambrose though...Simon was a dipstick and made a couple of unpleasant jibes in an attempt at humour, but he was never downright nasty....

I didn't like Simon but comparing him to Michael is harsh on Simon!

Easy, if you check the date I made this thread a few weeks ago. It's been bumped all of a sudden for some odd reason.

Michael is very funny but hugely arrogant
I liked Sas telling him 'not to be impatient young man' in the boardroom, then there was the yobby outburst ...

Simon was a nicer person
Michael won't win this

can't agree as I think Simon was likeable - whereas Michael most certainly is not.

Agree completely. Simon was a bit of a fool and in no way did he deserve to win IMO, but he was likeable and seemed like a genuine person.

I don't see sophocles as a timid little boy- his football-style celebration when he won was far from timid. I think the similarity between Simon and Michael is both will do anything to win and win so that they can get the job with Sralan, not just for the sake of winning. Sophocles looked like he regretted his rush of blood almost instantly but I see him as a bit more brash than Simon.
