Yes it would. I hope he can win - and make the album that he wants. Let's hope that Simon can influence what happens. He quite clearly now understands that when you have someone as good as, for example, Leona Lewis, you don't release a covers album.

If it was David C versus David A then probably David A would win as he's got the cutesy, sickly, boy next door vibe that young kids and grandma's alike love! David C is more appealing for your "too cool to vote" teenagers.

I love David Cook but feel he will be up against it if he makes it to the final for the reasons you state.

I think it will also depend who the votes of the fanbases of the eliminated contestants goes to.

I think that's vital, David C appears to have picked up the Michael John vote, judging by what MJ fans are saying on other forums, he's potentially got the Carly vote if she goes before him, plus the Jason vote as well under the same circumstances. If David C can stay in he's got more potential to pick up other fanbases votes then David A has

I wouldn't vote for David C if you paid me. The fact that he is still there and is likely to outstay yet more far superior contestants is proof that mediocrity appeals.

I actually think it will be both Davids in the final but Archuleta will win as he has more support from the teen vote plus Simon Cowell will be promoting him to win. Even if he sings worse he will just turn on the tears and get votes that way. I think David Cook deserves to win though because he is a much better singer. I think as long as he comes in the top 3 the will get a record deal and I would definately buy his cd.

Forget about singing, who is the best performer? It's David Cook by a mile. He knows what his strengths and limitations are. He knows what's current even more than Davd A. does, which is a little odd.
