Which way do you like your cheese?

Grated is better. Sliced is easier. Although grated is no good on biscuits.

Depends what it's for.
If it's in a sandwich, grated cheese is a curse because the minute you take a bite, it falls out. So sliced is better in butties. If you're making something where you want the cheese to melt, grating it means it melts quicker. |

It surely depends what type of cheese you have and what you plan to do with it.

Sliced is nice, but grated goes further.

You use less if you grate it - more surface area.
But I do like cheese-on-toast made with big slabs of cheese

Let's not forget cubed cheese... punctured with a cocktail stick... and sat next to its savoury cousin, the pineapple cube. Yum Yum.

Sliced (unless I want it to melt). I just don't like the texture of grated cheese - the same with minced beef.

![]() ![]() My son does grated for his sandwiches everyday and manages to cover the work top, floor and sink area. I sometimes wonder if he manages to get any in his sandwich ![]()
