I'm doing this for the first time tonight. What are the best ways of doing it. I take it I should brown the sausages first, but should they be fully cooked or is it best to put them in a hot oven to brown them and let them cook out once in the mixture?

I use this one by Delia... it's lovely and very easy to make

You obviously don't need to make the onion gravy to go along side, but if you decide too it's well worth it. I find it slightly fiddly though so normally just make up some bisto

I tend to brown them first quickly. Cos Sometimes if you do them in the oven they can get a bit sticky! If you have a really good non stick pan just dribble a wee bit of oil then just lightly brown bangers quickly. This way you can have em prepared ready for the batter.

The batter recipe that stripey ^^^^^^^ has linked from Delia is great. I also use her recipe for yorkies as well.
