Britain's got talent - Do they deliberatley choose crap acts?

They have a vetting process before hand where your seen by a producer and then your video is sent off to record producers (supposedly). If your good enough, they invite you to the live auditions. Why on god's earth do half the crap acts get through?

It makes 'good tv' apparently, they do exactly the same thing in 'X Factor'.
I've found the trailer with the young black man quite unpleasant when I've seen it TBH.

you cant always have top quality acts all the time otherwise the judges job would be too hard for them
