Result this week

I've only just caught up with the results, I am pretty shocked and disappointed, altho I thought one of my other faves Carly was going to go this week, after that dire song choice so glad she didn't, but I am really sorry to see Michael go.

It was strange, I thought the performances this week were nowhere near as good as the week before , when they could have chosen anything, I didn't like DC 's song this week either. Only David A was up to standard I thought.

Agree with you about jason, I was amazed at the comments he got, i really like him but I thought he looked silly with the ukelele and the arrangement was awful

It is a pity that Michael went. I would rather it had been Jason of all the boys or Brooke of all the girls who went.
I like Carly best of all the girls and David Cook best of all the boys. Simon so obviously doesn't like David Cook but loves Jason.

I don't agree that Simon hates David C at all. In fact I think he is his chosen one. He played the trick early on in the series that he learnt from criticising Will early on in PI1. Commenting on his performance not being as good as he thought it was, how boring he came across by saying he liked doing crosswords, how arrogant he appeared, and making David respond and then feel bad. All in the game plan.

I can't stand David C. He's a second rate tribute act and comes across as awfully smug.

I hate the arrangement of SOTR that Jason performed. I remember it from an advert and thought how ridiculous it sounded then. I like Jason though.

I thought Kristy should have gone this week. I don't see what people are saying was so good. Good for Kristy but that is still pants by most standards.

The David Cook studio version of Innocent is so worth a listen, it really doesn't work over 90 seconds and is the first misstep he's made with song choice (although I'm glad he did because the studio version is seriously good). I can't comment on David A's performance because I hate that song with a vengence and even my fav Mr Cook singing it would still make me want to pour bleach in my ears

Although I'll never agree with BatBatBaby's opinion of David C (but hey, each to their own ) I do think that Simon etc are swaying towards him winning. In the downloads charts for studio version he had, as of yesterday, 4 out of the top 5, his album before AI is in the top 10 of Amazon downloads (beating Leona Lewis) - he's seriously kicking everyone elses butt in terms of generating potential sales.

Still sad to see Michael go, don't think he ever quite reached the BR that he did in Hollywood week, and probably suffered because his voting demographic crossed heavily with David C's - David C was seen to be in danger this week, Michael wasn't, so the votes, rather then people splitting, which they had done, poured in for David C.
