I disagree I think there are several others in the running for the role as well. DEFINITELY not just those three.
I want Jessie to win because I'll pick up £200 if she wins and will only break even if Rachel or Jodie wins.
Plus I prefer her.

I don't think Rachel is in the running as she isn't as likeable as Jessie or Jodie (or as likeable as Sam or Sarah for that matter).

Jessie can't warm to and Jodie seems to old, matronly.
I still think that Sarah and Samantha are in with a chance.

I don't like Rachel either but I don't think ALW will let her go, say she was against any of them but Jessie I think she'd be safe.
Out of those three, the only one I even like is Jodie...

I think Rachel is very much in the running. She was the first person on stage tonight, right after the little speech about how important it is to pick someone able to handle the demands of the professional role.
It is EASY for them to put her in the final two. If Helena can be put into the final, Rachel certainly can. To win the final is another thing, but they have plenty of time to praise Rachel and to undermine her rival in the final, should they wish to do so.
If they give the rival Old Man River and Rachel As Long As He Needs Me, that would be one way to influence the voting in the final!
At the moment, I think Rachel, Jessie and Jodie are the favourites. Samantha and Sarah are the only other runners, but Samantha needs to smash back into red hot form pronto, and Sarah needs to perform some kind of grave obscenity on stage in order to break out of the Care Bear stereotype that is seeing her managed for a mid-to-late exit.
I think it will come down to whether the producers see Jessie picking up the accent and acting over the next few weeks. If so, I think she will win. If not, they will manage Rachel into the role by making Jessie break down in tears in a sombe video sequence where an acting coach tells her she is rubbish.
They can easily manage Jodie out of the way by making her sing I Should Be So Lucky or somesuch.

Well, as well as Jessie, Rachel and Jodie, I definitely think Samantha and Sarah have a very good chance too. I'd even go so far as to say I think Ashley and Niamh could be in with a chance too (albeit slimmer). I'd go with either Jessie or Sarah for the win at the moment.

I do agree, Ithink Sarh is the dark horse of the competition. Every week she has improved and the fact that the judges keep telling her she isn't their Nancy will only push her further.

Another two considerations are what sort of show is it with Mr Bean as Fagin and Nick Knowles (is that true?) as Bill and what does Nancy need to look like to be with that Bill? . Does experience matter with those two already cast? Would a pro looking Nancy look odd with two non-actors?
Niamh I can see as the young waif. Niamh and Nick Knowles will look decidedly wrong though.
Samantha doesn't seem to be making waves at present.
Sarah can sing well and is acting more but Abi did tonight's song better last year and she isn't as good at acting and doesn't quite have teh presence .
Francesca could probably act as a Nancy but her voice isn't in top gear and she may not be connecting.
Ashley isn't far off but as soon as she got nearer to the spec ALW decided she wasn't interesting enough.
That does indeed leave Rachel as safe but a bit dull Nancy. Jodie as older Nancy with a big question msrk over her acting but some credibility shacking up with Nick Knowles. And Jessie as the nearest thing left to someone the audience will care about and who has a striking voice but without the acting experience.
Samantha may have more to show but as someone else worked out its a question of how well Jessie can act and if not whether Sarah can grab the safe, pro, right age for Bill, alternative spot from Rachel. Whoever they don't want will then start getting the songs so far reserved for Tara and Amy.
Rachel and Jodie are my favourites,both have strong personalities.Jessie was very good on her performance tonight.But my worry is she needs to improve a great deal on her acting.
Nick Knowles??? You all sure?If true, that throws a right different light on the Nancy - but then again if the tv viewers aren't thinking of grizzley ol' Nick, it won't make any difference to who they like & vote for.
Still, the producers WILL engineer as much as they can.....watch out for all the very young and/or innocent looking ones like Sam, Naimh, & Sarah being given inappropriate songs to perform as the final gets closer.
