Thanks for the vids - she's a sweetheart.

I'll be keeping a eye out for her next appearance.

me too - Hopefully she'll be in something big thats perfect for her by the end of the year - as I can't think of a better way of spending a Birthday than going to the theater and seeing someone you enjoy watching perform and that's the plan this year

If you hear before I do you'll have to let me know

What do we reckon? Not going to be chicago for a start as they've Just cast Suzanne shaw anyway

Blood Brothers - Show's been going a while though

Wicked has already announced it's revised cast while Kerry's on Broadway

Not enough female parts in WWRY

Maybe they'll have to bring back something thats not been on for a while

Just found new interview article from Fran

http://icwales.icnetwork.co.uk/news/...1466-20825600/

Sounds optimistic about her future which is a good thing.
Interesting reading. I'm not surprised to read that she was gutted when Tara went - she looked it!

Thankyou for uploading the interview, she is so lovely. The show just wasnt the same this week. Im glad ALW stormed off, serves him right for making such a shocking decision last week, now he knows how it feels.

I'm amazed she's out. She's the one girl who looked like she could cut it whereas there's quesion marks over all the others.

Shame we didn't see the Fran mentioned in this rent review as I think this Fran would have been unstopable

The performances are generally excellent - apart from a miscast Siobhan Donaghy, who fails to do justice to her songs and lacks the sense of desperation and pathos to make a convincing Mimi. Denise Van Outen fares much better as Maureen - sexy, powerful and larger than life. But Francesca Jackson steals the thunder amongst the female cast. Oozing with sophistication and class as the accomplished attorney, Joanne (Maureen’s lover), she delivers her lyrics with dexterity and punch and at times her vocals are astonishing.

I think we saw glimpses of 'that' Fran - especially in the singoffs (ie. musical theatre songs) and group songs. Hopefully it will be those performances that she will be remembered for, and her brilliant farewell rendition of 'As Long As He Needs Me', rather than some of the solo songs where she was clearly uncomfortable.

I knew she'd had great reviews for Rent, but reading that one you quoted really makes you realise why she must have felt so confused about where this show leaves her.

She's gone from the incredible highs of rave reviews in her first leading lady role to being made to feel rather inadequate and unsure of herself in front of a television audience. Not a nice feeling, and I just hope she has the opportunity to restore her confidence very soon.

Going back a bit here I know but I wanted to check something out so looked on you tube to confirm and I was right.

I stated that it seemed to me Fran didn't really seem to get a fair share of camera time especially during the task clips, someone said I was incorrect they were sure she got the same as the others especially in the acting one's like at hairspray, however I checked this clip and Fran is the only one you don't see actually kissing Ben and not only that you also don't hear a singe word uttered from her mouth which imo goes to prove that at least in that mission she certainly didn't get her fair share of camera time would be interesting if I could find the other mission clips on there to check them as well.

I think the 'missions' in general have been considerably down-played this year. I seem to remember that they played a much more integral part on the Joseph shows.

My perception is that the 'wrong' people were excelling at the tasks, and not the 'chosen ones'. Hence, the tasks got reduced to a light-hearted 'filler moment' on the results show.

There was a really valid point in the one shown last night, about Rachel taking over and not letting the instructors do their bit, but of course that was glossed over

What a suprise hey

Okay now even more cheesed off about last week this weeks comments page is all edited to go with ALW's point of view about Keisha whereas when we were angry about last weeks decision no ones comments made it onto the site

Just a thought - this thread was started by some self congratulatory smart alec who thought it clever to sneer at the most suitable Nancy candidate in the show.

Instead it turned into an appreciation thread and is now 11 pages long - eat your heart out Boom Head Shot.

Strange that for someone who went out near the first half of the show, Fran became quite popular. In some ways, her controversial entry into the competition may also have boosted her profile in a positive way. I'm sure, given her talent the her raised profile, she'll definitely get some good jobs coming her way.

I really missed Fran this week - I hope ALW has realised that he made a massive mistake in voting her out - she is one of the very few I would have paid to see in the role.

I would def have gone to see it if Fran had one not sure I'll bother now though as I'm sure by then she will be in something anyway and I'd rather go and see that

[quote]And what next? “I’m just going to be auditioning for different things now,” Fran said. “I’m singing at the start of the Grand Prix so that will be great.[quote]

Snippet from article in IC wales

So that could be a good start in her post I'd do anything career whilst she's looking for the role that truely deserves her

Yes I agree. When I bought my Oliver tickets (after week 2 of the live shows, I think) I was honestly convinced that Fran would feature in the final stages of the competition, if not win it. Even though I've always liked Sam too, I totally expected that she would go before Fran.

Even though Sam is still in the running, I cannot seem to muster up any enthusiasm to see the actual show since the Fran debacle. I'll still end up going (probably out of curiosity, unless Jodie wins ) but, as you say, I would much rather see Fran in whatever show she ends up in next.

As for this thread still going quite strongly, it just goes to show some of us have taste

Who are the other Francesca fans supporting now she's gone? I'm supporting Sarah, but I don't think she'd make as good a Nancy as the lovely Fran would.
