Another rent clip that has a solo spot of Fran's

I just love the tone of her voice IMO in the group performances both on IDA and in Rent she seemed to add the depth that was needed.

Yes I loved that one too! Her interview was the most revealing and funny
Yeah I agree totally. Although now I'm intrigued as to why she'd been kicked out of her digs! If breaking into a theatre doesn't show the 'resourceful' side of 'Nancy', then I don't know what does

Rachel's story about the audition queue doesn't come across well though - that's just rude.

Just to respond to BuddyBontheNet, I think we'll have to agree to disagree. I think we all totally accept that Fran wasn't pitch perfect in all her performances, but there's no discernable crack in her farewell performance. She got it spot-on in my opinion. But you might have a better 'ear' than me

I have listened to her farewell performance several times tonight and was beginning to think there must be something wrong with my hearing as I really couldn't hear the "discernable Crack" I though she showed great resolve of character to perform it as well as she did especially when you take into account how upset she was

i have also listened fran's exit song again and i can't hear the crack you are talking about, it seemed perfectly in tune and performed very well. it seems to me you are nit picking and theres no need for it since most of them sing at least one note out of tune in every performance.

Why don't you read what I actually said instead of accusing me of nit picking? You seem to think the only thing I've commented on about Fran is her exit song and even then my remark was qualified by the situation.

i'm very sorry BuddyBontheNet but it did seem like you were nit picking. why did you say her voice cracked on a note though when it didn't?

Because I think it did, but what does my one opinion on such a small thing matter amongst so many who disagree? There's plenty of others who agree with you and after all I am allowed my own opinion.

Quite right you are allowed your opinion.....

Anyway I've just been watching the nancy school show again and that has caused one thing to really but me yet again Fran was only shown in a not so flattering light.... I think they way it was shown was what prompted Zoe Tyler's harsh remarks which I disagree with as well. And suprise suprise we didn't see her sing on the stage the night before the decision the only real stuff shown for Fran in the second show was that she was ill and what Zoe failed to mention in her interview was that Fran actually got worse while there Fran went to the audition thinking it was a cold she couldn't shift and went down hill whilst at Nancy School which is why she was sent home but as they didn't show her singing more than a line in her audition show and only glanced over her at the callbacks how could Zoe from watching the shows make the statements she did about how Fran should have been sent packing??????

Don't know if it's already been mentioned but in this, after they've finished singing, DVO and Francesca can be seen hugging:

Could back up the idea they were pretty good friends in it?

...Or I could just be over- analysing too much

I'm surprised at how much I found I missed Fran in the show last week. She hadn't been my favourite by any means but definitely added something to the show and seemed popular among the other girls. I'm sure she'll be very successful in something else

She added a spark to the show that seemed to be missed quite alot this week.

as for the other the whole cast have admitted that they were all very close as it was a small cast and very intense show. Check out Leon Lopez or Rent remixed Myspace pages.

On another note rewatched this today and it makes me smile.... Fran and Rachel can't help but laugh at Jessie

I reckon she would have given Jessie a run for her money on the performance of the night and would have sparked up the group performance

Took the words right out of my mouth

I actually had to shut myself up tonight whilst watching the show for fear of turning into a broken record.

It mainly gets to me when Ashley's performing, as I just keep thinking 'that should be Fran's place' - which I know is unfair to Ashley, but I can't help myself!

I could even imagine Fran belting out 'Big Spender' brilliantly tonight. Sigh...
