Oh, and I fully expect Francesca's song to have about thirty key-changes this week, just so she'll trip on them!
I know Andrew has voiced his concerns, but he does still say that she deserves to stay in the competition. Could all depend on tonight I guess. |

Yeah, I think they all want to keep her in for a while yet. Which is good.

Do you think Francesca knows that she's not auditioning for a gurning show?
As she really pulls some freaky faces while singing. |

She reminds me of a shark...with sharky little dark eyes and a sharky little mouth.
She's a better singer than many of them, but the sharkness turns me off a little bit. |

Did anyone else notice the abundance of blusher tonight on Francesca? And not only abundance, but slightly further down than it should be?

I'd be having strong words with the make-up artist if I were her...

I love her singing, she is fantastic. Great voice and amazing vocal range. Also a good actress, I Just dont think she is right for nancy.

It's a bit unfortunate that the 'farewell' song is actually a good indication of whether they would suit the role - it just comes too late. Personally, I think Fran would be a great Nancy. I can see a lot of qualities in her that would work in the role. Plus, she clearly has the acting credentials to pull it off. |

Whatever did she do to upset the make-up artist tonight?

When Francesca's on a good night I think she's fabulous. But she is inconsistent and your performances must be consistenly good to have a career in the West End.
even Connie, blew her vocal chords, so perhaps she wasn't ready either. |

I know she already has a career in the West End - I saw her in Rent and she was fantastic. I was trying to express the apparant contradiction of her being inconsistent on the TV, yet being consistent enough to have a career in the West End.

![]() Fran clearly has more stage experience than a lot of the others, but is probably on level terms by way of TV experience. She might just be someone who doesn't 'suit' TV as much as stage work, or who gets more nervous on TV than on the stage. Which is a shame, because whoever ends up playing Nancy will have to be good enough to perform well on TV in order to win the role, but then be just as good (if not better) on stage. I think Fran would make a great job of the role on stage, but really needs to get grips with the TV aspect first. |

![]() ![]() I remember people whinging about her getting through when she was sick and all of that. Siobahn didn't make it at first, being sick and all, until Emilie didn't come back. (on the show with JB and Zoe "that's why you are here" after Zoe making her sing I Could Have Danced... well, it wasn't why she was there...lol) I still think Fran deserved to be there. She only went home the one afternoon, or am I wrong? edit- when you saw her in Rent, she looked slim right? that's why i don't get this "dairy fed" comment by Barry. |

Well, I hope everyone saw on tonight's show how awful Francesca is. If the little gurner gets through to the final, let alone win the show it will be a travesty.

Who is your favourite BHS - whoever it is, I doubt if everyone finds her appealing. |

She may not be your favourite but there's better ways of voicing your preferences. |

Last night I was a bit like
after Francesca - IMO that definitely wasn't her strongest performance (although the acting was, as usual, excellent). I was waiting for all the comments about pitching etc to rear their ugly head, and for poor Fran to be put down whilst Rachel got all the glory - thankfully no such thing happened.I am a still a bit *nail biting* about finding out the results later though (I made a point not to look on here - I think my nerves are past the point of reading what happens on a computer screen ).Edit: Just watched WLGTDWI again on YouTube, and I think it's a case of morning after the night before (or in my case evening after ). It's no-where near as bad as I initally thought it sounded (although I never thought it sounded terrible). So maybe there's hope for Fran yet
