She's gone!.. fabulous result.
I believe the Gurning Competition is being held in Cumbria in September. Francesca should win that event hands down. |

So, back in the world of positivity -
I spoilered myself silly once it came through, so tonight wasn't a surprise, but I was honestly expecting Francesca to have done appallingly in the sing off - and she didn't, so it must just have been her consistency that let her down (I don't want to be cynical enough to think he's kept Ashley in tactically). She went out in fantastic style though - her As Long As He Needs Me was by far the best so far, it's just a pity it was so soon! I have no doubt she'll be working on the West End again soon enough! |

i think fran should have stayed in a bit longer. (was it ALW way of apologising for what he had said to ashley). anyway i know fran has had pitching problems in the last few weeks but i still think that there are people still there which have performed worse

I agree with all of this i'm sad to see her go, and I'm not certain she deserved to this early on

Her ALAHNM was indeed spectacular, I really enjoyed it, aswell as some of her other live performances. It's a shame her live show performances didn't match up to her auditions and what a lot of people know she's capable of. I look forward to great things from Francesca, I really do.

Well shame tonight in the sing off and the exit song is first time I got Franscesca which goes to prove the songs are all wrong.
I wish her all the best and am sure she will get work off the back of this |

Probably tactical again - a repeat of the Daniel situation last year. Fran was better in the sing off and a better performer.

![]() I cried. I'm a bit gutted. I've been a fan of both Ashley and Fran throughout the show and I was going to be gutted whatever the outcome, but Fran blew me away with her ALAHNM. I think she's going to be tremendously successful after this experience, and I wish her all the best

It's a shame for Fran that her best performances have actually been her sing-off songs.
If she could have done that well in the main competition, she would have gone far |

Why on earth bother with a sing off - Tara outperformed Keisha last week and Fran outperformed Ashley this week, yet ALW sent both of them home. I won't spend another penny voting. |

Fran was fantastic in the sing off - she has a much stronger voice and can act - which few of the others can accomplish. I was very surprised at ALW saving Ashley, her voice and lack of acting skill was so obvious in comparison to Fran. Doubt if it had anything to do with reconsidering the panel's view or even compensation for his remarks to Ashley - more likely that in Fran's sing off performance he finally saw a threat to his favourite or favourites.

ALW has just made himself and the whole competition look really stupid

What bugs me is that ALW said he didn't like Ashley's voice then goes and saves her because he went with what the panel thought! you stupid little man ALW! Francesca was so much better!!!!

Fran was fantastic in the sing-off, and her ALAHNM was the best so far, but there were still pitching issues in it.

I was actually surprised just how disappointed I was when ALW didn't save Francesca. I was so certain he would given he'd made his feelings about Ashley so plain.
I'm sure Francesca will get plenty of work though. |

Fran did herself proud by the way in which she handled the sing-off, both in terms of performing it and still being supportive to Ashley. She then held her nerve to do the best farewell song yet. Good for her

"TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!! I can't begin to thank you all enough!!!! You have given me the most fantastic support, it's more than I could ever have dreamed and hoped for!! I have found this whole process one of the hardest things I've ever done and it was made all the more difficult by being labeled the 'professional' and the backlash from knowing Denise. (aaaaahhhhh). I am absolutely gutted to be out because I honestly did want to play Nancy with all my heart. But now I am out I am SO excited to get back to auditioning and see what happens next!!! Tom read all your comments to me every night and it was your support that kept my spirits up and my confidence going!! I feel so honoured to have had so many people want to support me and it has really meant so so much!! THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!! XXXXXXXXXX" |

ALW was in Las Vegas, the land of gambling where they serve you free alcohol all night whilst you gamble. He was probably half cut along with watching the boxing match, enough to give anyone brain damage, he could have chosen a Nancy that wasn't even in the sing off!!!!!!!

The Drunken Garden Gnome in Las Vegas - could that be his next musical.
It could even be the next BBC1 casting show. No sober man would sit on live tv to millions and pull that face whilst Ashley sang, far too unprofessional! Louis Walsh could be on the panel for the Gnome show. ![]() Sarah would make such a cute queen gnome. |
