I wonder how Sir Alan's actual employees feel.

Watching these idiots blunder through show after show, knowing that one of them will get a 6 figure salary job at the end of it.

it must surely p them off, and make them wonder why they aren't offered the same opportunity when they are the ones actually working for Sir Alan and doing their job well (I presume)?

You do have to wonder don't you. So far none of them appear to have any skills at all, all of them talk a lot but do very little. It's very amusing to watch for us but I suspect not for his employees who must be seething.

LOL

Or it could be, "I know such and such is a bit of a pillock, but oh my god this is so much better than the idiot/ bitch/ bully/ git we could have had"

Personally if I worked for SAS, I would be rooting for Kevin to win, and would assume that by employing him my boss was spending £100K on entertainment for the rest of the staff.

He'd be cheaper hiring Billy Connolly

If I was an employee of SA's I'd be looking for a large payrise NOW to drive the point home that any of this lot is bound to lose him money instead of making a profit

That brings up a question of a good twist one year:

8 current employees versus 8 prospective apprentices
The ultimate promotion, or the ultimate job?

That would be quite a good idea actually. I bet Trump's stealing it as we speak.

But would the current employees get fired, literally?????
That would be a fun twist.

It's an interesting point.

If their usual promotion strategy is open competition including both internal and external candidates I think I'd be a bit cheesed off if there was a new job going and I was prohibited from applying for it.

But then I've always worked for governmental bodies, I imagine in the Surallan scenario that he has cart blanche to hire whoever he wants for whatever job.

End of the day I suppose you can always spit in their coffee to get revenge!

Yeah, it'd be best if the people were fired for real. The eight current employees would go in all guns blazing - since for them it's really all or nothing - £100k job or the job centre, whilst all of the other candidates have quit their jobs so it's the same prospect - 100k job or the job centre!

There's enough infighting as it is, with that twist, there'd be a murder investigation within 24 hours!

Perhaps the 6 figure salary is actually £1,000.00 or 100,000 Zimbabwe $.

But does Alan actually have a business these days? Last time I heard, he'd sold Amstrad to Sky - or are they still keeping him to run things?
