Couple of questions about Samsung LE32 R87 TVs

Hoping someone here can clear up a couple of things for me.

Just gone for a Samsung LE32 R87 BD tv
and was wondering about centre speaker set-ups and.also the scart connection on this model.

I have the centre speaker sat on the top of my old Panasonic at the moment, but given it's size there is no way it will sit on top of LCD screen and was thinking about placing it at the bottom of the screen in front of the stand, but was wondering if LCD screens are affected by speakers in the same way as older TV's or more so. The speaker is shielded but still don't want to kill a brand new TV within hours of getting it..

Also does anyone know if the scarts sockets on this model accept S-VHS signals, would make life easier if they do I had a look at the manual I downloaded but it didn't say.

Thanks

LCD TVs are not affected in any way from loudspeaker placements.
It has an S-Video input on the RHS input panel.

Thanks John
Good to know about the speakers not being a problem and also the s-vhs input on the side.

but if anyone still knows if the the scarts can handle s-video too would aprecate it.

But guess I'll be able to find out about them tomrrow one way or the other anyway when my new toy turns up

Cheers

Just an update to my questions as the TV arrived a couple of days ago. The Scarts dont take a S-Video signal and only one is RGB

The new question is.
When watching dark scenes or widescreen films where there are black bars top and bottom, there is a very slightly lighter patch about 2 - 3 inches at the top right and corner of the screen.

I just want to know if this kind of thing normal, as I've read something about backlight bleeding doing this, and don't want to return the TV as faulty if there's a chance I will get a replacement that's even worse.

Thanks again.
