10.56m (48.8%) also excluding +1 (average) - thoughts on those figures?

Figure itself nothing to shout about but the share says it all really. I did say I wouldn't be surprised to see it a few hundred thousand lower and I guess I was right. Had it been cold it would've been so much more.

They would have been better off with a split result show. Even though the share is very good, I think it may just squeeze into the yearly top 10. That excluding +1 figure is only just higher than the previous series high on 11th May.

A bit underwhelming. Looks like the weather clearly had something to do with it.”

Any show that gets an audience share of over 50% can't be classed as underwhelming IMO.

If you take the numbers into account, and the fact it's marginally down on last year, it's not brilliant IMO. Of course you can't ignore the large share.

What would kick it out of the top 10? This will consolidate to around 12m easily which will put it at #1. Apart from Strictly there's nothing really that has a chance of beating it.

If X Factor rebounds (which is highly unlikely), if Andy Murray makes it to the final of Wimbledon, but apart from that, nothing.

Like I said, the share says it all. Last year had 46.4% so it's around 2% up on that. It's just the weather didn't let it pick up many casual viewers who would have stayed in and watched it had the weather been worse.

Yeah I think X Factor rebounding is unlikely. It has top 3 on lock unless something big happens.

I imagine there'll be a lot of timeshifting going on for that reason.

The final consolidated to 12.23m (inc +1: 12.85m), a timeshift of 1.67m which puts it at the #1 spot of the year so far. The only show I can see knocking it off the top spot is Strictly. It'll no doubt stay in the top 10 however.

Some more ratings trivia.
