Transfering recordings to a MP4 Player
Is it possible to transfer recordings from the digihome to a portable device ?
I have an 80gb Digihome which I have upgraded to twin record function using software from this site so I have a serial connector. Does anybody know if transfer can be done and how. I would appreciate your comments |

I have an Archos AV500 Mobile DVR and a Digihome PVR80 and I just use the standard TV pod that came with the Archos.

I am thinking of getting a Zen Vision player and wonder if I would be able to transfer direct to this. |

No you wouldn't be able to transfer to your player. There are threads on how this is technically possible, but it involves opening your pvr and connecting the hard drive to a PC, extracting the raw data then passing it though some complicated tools.
In short, it isn't really possible. the simplest solution is to get a USB video capture box so you just capture the video coming out of the scart socket. I guess this is what the Archos TV Pod does. |
