Is it possible to transfer recordings from the digihome to a portable device ?

I have an 80gb Digihome which I have upgraded to twin record function using software from this site so I have a serial connector.

Does anybody know if transfer can be done and how.

I would appreciate your comments

I have an Archos AV500 Mobile DVR and a Digihome PVR80 and I just use the standard TV pod that came with the Archos.

Are you saying that a lead came with the Archos AV5OO that you can plug into the Digihome PVR or what do you mean by a standard TV pod.

I am thinking of getting a Zen Vision player and wonder if I would be able to transfer direct to this.

No you wouldn't be able to transfer to your player. There are threads on how this is technically possible, but it involves opening your pvr and connecting the hard drive to a PC, extracting the raw data then passing it though some complicated tools.

In short, it isn't really possible. the simplest solution is to get a USB video capture box so you just capture the video coming out of the scart socket. I guess this is what the Archos TV Pod does.
