Never heard of Syesha or Kristys songs, odd to pick non singles from her early albums that most people will have never heard before.

i thought i hadnt heard of Kristy's song choice but i youtubed it, heard the music and instantly recognised it, Forever is a really great song

"Always Be My Baby" for David Cook? Gonna be interesting. Predictable and safe from David Archuleta. Think Syesha will be leaving.

According to someone who was at rehearsals, Kristy was best girl.

David A wasn that good IMO.

Not seen anything yet, but had to comment on those song choices.

Maybe once I've bothered to go to bed and then bothered to wake up I'll Google Kristy (in particular as she's my fave girl, glad she seems to have done well), Jason and Syesha's song choices.

Brooke's got the quintessential(ly irritating) Mariah song - predictable even if I did predict something else! Lol)

Carly will be interesting - I bet half of it was great and the rest will be disaster, but I hope she proves me wrong.

David A's got the song I wanted him to have an predicted for him, that'll be even more interesting and for once I'm looking forward to Simon's critique!

And for my favourite David Cook - the worst Mariah song I can think of (and I'm not really a fan I'm not happy at all! He'll be brilliant but I'll probably know the words by the weekend, and that's a scary thought!

Figure I'd comment while the memory is still 'hot'...lol...

No huge fan of the theme or the artist...but pleasantly surprised...the boys really brought it tonight.

David A - Great job!! I think a lot of people write him off as bland....but that voice! The judges loved it.

Carly - felt she was a bit screamy/shouty...

Syesha - yeah....she's a good singer...but what else? There's no personality...and what I do see seems fake. We've seen a Syesha every season...and I think that's her biggest problem

Brooke - Brooke seems to be at her best when at the piano...not wow'd but still very good

Kristy - ya know...i really have to get her props. She had a shaky start but each week she seems to be gaining confidence and you start to realize she can sing. Not the best...but starting to think she deserves each 'survival'...

David Cook - I didn't think it was 1/2 as good as the judges....it wasn't until he started his usual screaming that it sounded good. I really don't like his personality, either. It was nice to see his brother in the audience, though. Heard on the radio this morning...they chartered a special flight so that he could be there for at least one of his performances.

Jason - Another good showing from Jason. Another one I don't think will win...but I liked his take on the song....much more than David C.

Bottom!?! After last week...who knows!?! I'm guessing Syesha, Kristy and Brooke/Carly....but Jason could also sneak in there.
Going home? I'd like to see Syesha go...but really have no clue.

All I have to say. Every week most people wish that Syesha would go home and it does not happen. Her fanbase her silent and strong. As a big fan of hers, I want her to home for good reasons. The blatant bias and unfairness from the Judges and media is getting on my last nerve.

She is one of the lucky ones who have other talents that goes with her singing. I believe she will have the last laugh. AI is not for everyone-well its always been that way.

I love the show this year more than last year. But this time AI has left a bad taste in my mouth so far.

I've watched a few performances... I couldn't resist. David A the best of the night so far.

Jason was great! Just youtubed it and I think he could win.

Interesting night. Early on, Simon said that he thought that the guys would do better than the girls on this, and he was right. But, what did he mean he had a hit with that one song?

David A. - definitely good, however, I'm not overly impressed by him and I'm not 100% sure why. I kind of think because he seems more the breathy teen idol sort of singer and I don't really connect. But, he does seem sweet.

Carly - She's the one I want to like. I think she has more personality than the other girls combined, but her performance just wasn't that great. She could be in serious trouble this week.

Syesha - I agree w/daveraleigh's comments and will go one step further-- as technically good as she may sing, I doubt I'd buy any of her records, because her voice lacks spark.

Brooke - Okay, but not great. I was put off by her gasps for air before each line. She's also in trouble, I imagine.

Kristy - I didn't like her in the beginning of the season, but she has been consistently improving each week and gave a good solid performance. Probably the best out of the girls this week.

David Cook - I agree w/daveraleigh again, but will add that it might be one of those songs that grow on you. I think his is worth another listen to.

Jason - He put his own Jason-spin on the song and took Mariah's advice. I was also not a Jason fan in the beginning, but
his might have been the performance of the evening and definitely worth replaying.

I think that Carly, Brooke and maybe Syesha will be in the bottom tonight.
