Highly promoted, lots of trailers, primetime BBC1, magic mix of high profile name and RTV, = a winner.

How long before the GBP get wise to the fix? Edits and e.g. Claire being kept against the advice of Margaret and Nick are going to kick in at some point.

I read somewhere that M and N spend about 4 hours giving feedback to AS about the task. I would love to see a BBC digital programme on that.

I watched this episode and was very disappointed with the calibre of everybody on both teams. They didn't have a clue as to running a business - and couldn't even operate a computer to the level of a 4 year old. I would have sacked the lot of them and got some people in with at least ½ a brain cell (between them).

And if anybody thinks that they can get a prime pitch in the Bluewater Shopping complex for free, they really need a reality check. I reckon both teams would have been out of pocket to the tune of £500 if rental costs were taken into account.

What is worrying is that these folks will probably end up as marketing guys who will come round and recommend how you run your business and charge you a fortune for their 'advice'.

A bit late, but I finally got around to watching this episode. First impressions are that the wrong team were in the boardroom waiting to be fired. Despite making the most profit, Helene's team were a bunch of thieving bar stewards, charging £15.99 for a sheet of printed paper.

That said, under the rules of the game this doesn't matter and as such Simon was facing the chopping block long before he got to the board room. Now for all those who disagreed with me over Claire, I most humbly apologise to you all. While I like her as a person, she is an aggressive, pushy woman that should by rights have been fired.

Simon should have got her out of his face early doors, her responsibility was the back room technical section. So why was she out front constantly in his face, when she had no place being there. The task failed as she wasn't doing the job she was given, which was liaison with Sara & Simon. Irrespective of the issues over the photo's not matching up, her job should have been to sort that out or implement some system to resolve this. Instead she just wanted to get in Simon's face all the time, arguing stupid points.

Overall, not impressed with Alex who is lazy and unwilling to take any responsibility. Helene had a cheek to say Lucinda was lazy, every shot we saw of Helene was of her standing in the background with her thumbs up her ****. As for Lucinda, she stated from the off that she wasn't capable of the job allocated to her, yet Helene seemed determined to make her the scapegoat should things go wrong; even before the task was started. Claire has gone way way way down in my estimation after this episode and I can see her having real trouble next week as PM.

I know, it is annoying that the show doesn't take such details into account, if this was irl and they printed the photos on a A3 sheet of paper they would have had a furore. It isn't a true reflection but then again I suppose it is just TV.

I much prefer Lakeside too, Bluewater always gives me a headache as it is so echoie and noisy It is worth going through the tunnel to be able to shop in peace

I'm a shopaholic. I will shop anywhere but I have to say that I far prefer Bluewater. Everything about it from it's architecture and general design to the array of shops and facilities.

Lakeside has spent the last couple of years updating itself because it lost so much business to Bluewater after it opened. Lakeside looked so dated before and it's only 5 years older than Bluewater. It looks a lot better now but they really should have invested some money in the multi-storeys. They are so badly lit, poorly laid out and generally intimidating compared to Bluewater's, particularly the staircases that are closed compared to Bluewater's open plan ones. When I go with my sister we always make sure we park in the ground car parks or on the Debenhams floor, as close as possible to the door, but we don't feel at all intimidated in the Bluewater ones.

Bluewater's setting (a large man-made park) is also much prettier than Lakeside's (the end of a retail park) and it's much nicer to stay around in before and after shopping.

Bluewater also caters for the higher end of the market as wel as the middle whereas Lakeside caters for the middle and lower end (I'm not going to make any comments about Kent v Essex )

Sorry. Wrong side of the river for orange women, unless they have crossed the bridge. Another comment made by Simon that showed how clueless he was about all the things he claimed to know so much about.

Simon was the right person to be fired. He is also one of the nicest candidates out of the whole 16, but this is not supposed to be a popularity contest. As nice as he was, he was not able to cope with the task, he was a bad PM, and he was waffling about knowing all about cameras and photography - maybe he did know all about those things, but he didn't know much else. Bad team leader, probably a very good second in command (which he said himself).

I disagree with this to some extent, which I will explain. While Simon isn't able to do every single job in the task, he should have dealt with the backroom people a lot better then he did. The fact that Alex and Claire were two of the 3 people in charge of production, didn't help him in this task. So in effect he had three people's jobs to do, which even for Superman is nearly impossible. Add into this, the rule that when the teams split, they have to remain together as those mini teams. Now I am not sure if this applied in this task; but it would have made it impossible to shuffle the team around to compensate for the two defectives.

Both Claire and Alex showed their true ugly colours last week and pretty much left Simon to hold the bag while they either argued with him or just sat on their bahookies. Should Simon have been fired, given he didn't handle the team properly the buck stopped at him. Should either Alex or Claire have gone, definitely as frankly they are not an asset to any team they work in. Out of the three, I think Alex should have been the one to go. He was called out by Margaret Monford on his lack of commitment to Simon from the start and pretty much did nothing in the task. While Claire argued and bitched, she at least did something; even if it was disruptive.

I honestly believe either they lie or the producers lie about their current jobs. There is no way these can be up and coming business people when they make such prattish ideas and can't use a computer (do high flying business people use pen and paper now?).
