Potato Starch, Maltodextrin, Vegetable Oils, Salt, Colour (E150c), Flavourings (Celery, Soya, Wheat), Wheatflour, Flavour Enhancers (E621,E635) Emulsifier (E322) (Soya), Spice and Herb Extracts, Onion Extract.
That's how it mutates into gravy.

Hot water and a thickener, corn flour will do. And tastes better with juices from meat if you're doing a roast.

Making your own gravy or stock is the way to go though. Ask your butcher for some beef bones, fry them off to get a bit of colour and taste going. Stick them in a large pot with some carrots, leeks, onions, peppercorns and a bouquet Garni (bunch of herbs) simmer for a few hours whilst skimming the fat from the top. Pass through muslin into a clean container and there you have it. Home made stock which you can use for soup, gravy whatever. |

I usually use OXO then thicken it up with the granules.

Adding a bit of Marmite or Worcester Sauce is good as well |
