Simon's drug habit?
Aleksis
16-04-2008
Only just got around to reading this article:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1773

Which includes:

Among the other contestants on this year's show will be a former soldier who has been to rehab for a drugs habit.

Maybe I'm just very inattentive but this is the first I've heard/read of it.

Anyone know what drug(s) he was addicted to? (Just curious...)

He went into rehab and rehabilitated. I don't know what drugs he was on.

Any chance these people are allowed some sense of privacy?

lol, you should know by now that people sign that way when agreeing to be on a mainstream reality TV show.

I'm not looking to pass judgement on him or anything. I just asked out of curiosity, since it came as rather a surprise to me. Surely if he'd been very sensitive about the issue he wouldn't have told them/allowed them to print something like that.

Good on him for getting off whatever drug he was hooked on, shows strength of character.

If this is true then I think he did better than anyone else in this year's Apprentice. He showed great character. Good on him.

Where and when did Claire say that? I hadn't heard about it, but I've seen it twice tonight on here - I'm trying to catch-up!

She made some bitchy comment that he 'looked like he was on crack' to Alex and Jenny after they argued in the shopping mall.

Although, if he was a recovering addict it might explain why he was so accepting that it wasn't meant to be on the 'You're Fired' show.

This is in today's Sun.

As he is talking about his past drug abuse, I guess he doesn't want it to be a secret.

He seems like such a nice bloke. *DS needs a 'heart' smilie*

Simon must be the only contestant ever on this show where I've wanted to tell to have more self-confidence. I think the story highlights how hard it is to come out of the services, when all that structure is taken away, something not easily understood by people who have never been part of it - I wouldn't get why if I hadn't had friends in that position. He's also right not to hide his past - if he tried some 'friend' would sell the story and he'd look dishonest. I'm sure the fact he's been through that is why he's much more tolerant and forgiving than most of them. Aw, I wish he was still in.

Just hope someone out there has watched him on the Apprentice and offers him the job he deserves! He is a guy that has overcome all his problems and still is a genuine and decent person.

Yes it just showed how vile she really is, i wonder how she knew? Simon must have spoken about it in the house.
