Uh. Alex may be "hot" in the context of wannabe business entrepreneurs in suits, but given his mysterious absence of personality, lanky frame, forgettable facial features and 12-year-old-boy-trying-to-look-cool hairstyle, there is absolutely no market for Alex to be selling himself as anything like a model. Kevin would have better chances.

I think you lot are being a bit harsh on the lad. Don't forget that they've all given up high paying jobs to get on, so it's dog eat dog in there, about surviving til you get a chance to shine. That's where the entertainment is and I love it. The people without the hunger and drive to be cutthroat get swallowed up.

As is often the case, last week the wrong person went and with him being in the last 3 before he obviously felt vulnerable. What did he do wrong work wise? He shouldn't even have been in the room! Yeah he did see the oportunity to scapegoat and he took it, he isn't that bad though. At least if he has a problem or concern he tells people to their face.

He didn't come off too well this week but he was set up for a fall by his own team in the first week so he's learned from the last boardroom show down how things work. He still has my respect as the only lad with the balls to take the reigns in the first week. He has potential and he's got his head screwed on. I bet he goes from zero to hero like Raif did.

People with such a cutthroat drive will be swallowed up even quicker because, having zero charisma or morals, they will be loathed and, hence, double-crossed at the nearest opportunity by co-workers who see through their intentions. Alex isn't intelligent enough to play the role of "cutthroat entrepreneur". In the context of "reality TV show that even simpletons should be able to follow" he might be made to look a bit cunning, but outside of that he's completely transparent and ineffective.


His "problems and concerns" usually pertain to his fear of responsibility which you ultimately can't avoid if you're going to be the apprentice.


Alex should have been fired in the first week based on his evident uselessness. He hasn't shown me anything that makes me think he's any better than the disorganised blame-shifter he presented himself as in the first week. He should count his lucky stars that Nicolas happened to be the worst lawyer in the country and basically verbally sealed his own firing or else he'd have been a goner.

I don't know if you're watching the same show as me but you do remember Katie from last year? You saw last weeks episode too right? If you aren't ruthless in the boardroom you're out . Alex keeps quiet and lets the others dig their own graves and say what he has to. Take Claire for example, she almost talked herself out of the competition, he learns from their mistakes. He plays on what Sir Alan says and it works. I don't know about the outside world but he has The Apprentice sussed.

It's far too early to say how intelligent he is but he's a survivor and he's got a good CV. Time will tell if he's up to it.


I think his confidence was shaken by his close shave in the first week. I can't blame him for wanting to steer clear of responsibility for a while. He's gonna have to recover though. He might turn into a weasel, we'll see...


The only reason he stayed was that he showed he wasn't afraid of responsibility by stepping up. None of them knew each other in the first task to be fair to him and he didn't know their strengths. He has got ground to make up, he's had an unimpressive start.

Alex is very clever as Simon commented on tonight. He is playing the long game. Nick Hewer has already stated that Alex is no fool. I think future programmes will show this to be true.

I agree, I can't believe how anyone could think he's not clever enough to win it as he blatantly is. It remains to be seen if he has all the credentials required to be the apprentice. We'll know soon enough!

I knew there was something up with Alex after the first week. Yes he's the 'stud' of the lads, but he is SNIDE. I said that from day one, and he proved it. Alan won't appreciate that, yes Alex sniffed out the danger and did whatever he could to get someone other than him fired. He knew he was going into the BR after the constant bickering. He'd be smart enough to know Claire would be too, so he set his sights on both of them, whichever was reeling, he'd stick the boot in, he tried to rock the boat by stating Claire should be fired, expecting her to say he should be fired, exposing her pettiness, but Claire called his bluff and stuck to Simon, she survived, there will be a day of reckoning between those two

As much as I dislike Claire her cry of 'Alex' as he stabbed her in the back was very real. He is a rat.

I agree. Like somebody else said, as bad as that girl is she's completely upfront. I wouldn't trust Alex as far as I could throw him.

Hate him, he did the dirty on Nicholas in week 1, he clearly put him in charge of priceing so he could blame someone if it all went wrong. But when he felt the same thing was happenin to him he just backed away like a coward.

I really went off him last night. Not just because of that comment but also when he started undermining Simon before he even gave him a chance and his reaction when Simon asked him to be deputy.

I see him as a game player now, who will do anything to get far, but I think it may work for a while, but not get him to the winning post he so wants

I disliked Alex in the first task when he went after Nicholas right from the off and it was just blatant even then that he was looking for a scapegoat.

Last night he was unbearable. Right from the start he was sulky and surly and just looked like an idiot to be fair.

I wanted to swing for him. I think that is an Apprentice first. for me. I cannot recall any other person annoying me as much as he did yesterday and over the last 2 or so weeks

I vote weasel. Also, he doesn't seem all that clever to me, his blame shifting and weasellishness is absolutely transparent.

sirallun would be an absolute fool to hire him-- the moment someone like alex screws up, they aren't concentrating on fixing the problem, they concentrate on finding someone to blame for it. And his employer would never be able to get a straightforward answer out of him to prevent the same screwup from happening again. People like Alex getting hired and then promoted is what makes so many offices such miserable hellholes.

That said, he is very pretty. But Raef is hotter.
