I'm a bit nervous about starting this thread as all my mates detest Claire, but I didn't think she was too bad last night! She was the only one brave enough to stick her head above the parapet when she thought something was wrong, and she was the only one to confront Simon when he went at the whole project like a bull in a china shop.

Granted, she doesn't know when to drop it and can be really annoying, but I think Simon was the right one to go on this occasion... (hides)

I think she's awful and her personality & manner let her down. Which is a shame because she is a grafter and usually gets things done.

She had a golden opportunity to turn that task around by stepping forward and sorting out the ordering system (and then taking credit for it in the BR) - which I believe she was capable of doing - instead of just going "Oh no, it's all gone wrong, Oh Simon, are you going to lose your temper now, ARE you?, be careful now, you know you can be a bit temperamental" ( I paraphrase) etc, etc!

She goaded him from the word go. She did treat him with no respect whatsoever & he was PM, no matter what she thought of that.

I also hate the way she browbeats people when talking to them, banging on and on, not letting them respond, even asking them a question and then walking away when they can finally get a word in and try to answer her (stupid) criticism! I can have my say but now you want to say something "this is not the time or the place"!!!!

That is not winning an argument it is just shouting the loudest.

I really think that they need to take people skills into account a lot more when considering the candidates. Because quite frankly, this year they've got a nasty bunch who will find it difficult to work with others. But Margaret has got Claire's number and will be keeping her beady eye on her next week....

Claire was horrible yesterday right from when Simon became project manager. She undermined him along with Alex at every opportunity, well before Simon had even come close to failing. It just looked like to me she didnt want to work as a team and ensure that Simon was the fall guy right from the start -if she had worked more as a team and not tried to make Simon look bad at every turn they might have won the task.

Mind you, I don't think Alex is that much better and I cannot for the life of me see why he is popular with the ladies.

I hate the way she hides her "skills" by using the tactic of goading the Project Manager each week.

I am sure she was a very good holiday rep, but she should have stayed at that job.

The main problem with her "undermine the PM at every possible opportunity" tactic is that IF she does make it to the final 2, then these people that she has undermined will return and work for her in the final task...and can then wreak their revenge by ballsing it up deliberately.

Its true, i thought she was awful to Saira (sp) last week too and underminded her then and even helped get the lady (cant remember her name!) fired in the laundry one when they were in the boardroom!

Well she was just as bad last week too though.

She obviously isnt very bright if she thinks that behaving like she is will get her the job working for Sir Alan.

A few people here have used the word 'goading' and i think that sums her up perfectly. Every week so far she has goaded someone .... and she must go. There is no way she will get the job with Sir Alan, as she isnt a team player - and im sure you would have to be to work with him.

I was baffled too but looking back, I think, as Simon agreed himself later, SAS just didnt think Simon was cut off for the position and Simon was too nice in the boardroom and didn't attack as much as he should have, and also took a lot of accountability for the failure. Claire as much as i dislike her did a very good job as project leader in the first week so maybe SAS sees more potential there.

I really don't know how she stayed last week. It seems Sir alan wants to keep the bitches in this year for entertainment. She undermines the PM at every opportunity week in week out. I hope she fails spectacularly next week, but I have a horrible feeling she will survive another week.

How anyone is supposed to win a task with her constantly sniping and shouting away is beyond me. She just goes against someone for the sake of it and to make herself certre stage, sadly it seems to work, although I don't think she has any talent and hopefully this will be discovered sooner or later

Personally, I think it's viewing figures. Can't see any other reason, even the 2 who work for him didn't have a good word to say about her

Claire's tactic is to constantly undermine and belittle whichever team leader there is. She also has the flattest, dullest voice I've heard.

Doesn't this mean she'll be Project Leader twice? Is that fair? Shouldn't someone else get a go?

I do not like her BUT she was correct last night, saying that she is basically not hiding in the background and hoping to slip through by default.
I dont even know the names of a couple of the girls as they are hardly even seen (maybe down to editing I know)
Simon said she in unmanageable and I would agree with that but at least she does want to manage.

I'd agree with that; the majority of the girls are bland and forgettable.

True, one of the quieter girls should have the chance just to see what they are all about.

Exactley - he knew he wasn't going to employ Simon, so to maximise entertainment he let him go before the other two villains. Even so, I hate the thought of people like Claire and thinking they're great cos they've survived.
Its the same with that nasty redhead, she only survived because shes good viewing rather than good at business.

From last night's show it's fairly obvious that she has a game plan to undermine the PL and make sure they fail the task to get the PL fired.

The show fails when people start messing up on purpose, and they should be kicked off the show immediately.

Well if the competition has turned into 'who can put the blame on and undermine the best' then I hope her team turn on her next week and really F*ck her up! I will be cheering if this muppet gets fired next week.

absolutely agree its getting beyond a joke now. Although I hated seeing Simon go last night SirAlun should have fire all 3 last night and made it clear if you mess up the task on purpose you're OUT!!

As much as I liked Simon I think his naivety showed through last night and "probably" deserved to go. However, from what we saw in the BR and throughout the day Alex and Claire (for the sake of the show's credibility) should have been made examples of. Thus sending out a warning for any future contestants who feel they can win by undermining the PM instead of helping the TEAM win the task.

Me too. She's a gobby cow with very little brain, and I really hate all the back-stabbing this series. It's fine to be ambitious and confident, but this behaviour goes beyond that. Can't stand Claire, I hope she's crucified by her team next week.
