Hi peeps
Can any one advise me on this tv , as i am thinking of getting this plasma , but have been told about screen burn .
At the moment i have a 32 lxd60a panasonic lcd which is only 14 mths old , and on the wall and have no problems , but i have always wanted a bigger tv so now i can get one but worried about this screen burn , we only watch sky news in the morning for about 30 mins before we are out to drop off kids and wife to work.

Would really like your help on this as i would like to stay with panasonic.

Most of us with plasmas do not suffer from screen burn. Watch on sensible settings such as cinema mode with contrast and brightness at or below centre position - these look best anyway. It will probably help if you use the grey bars (assuming this model like my older Panny has them) when watching 4:3 programmes.

From your post it sounds like all you watch is Sky News so that would be a problem but assuming you do watch other channels as well you should be ok.

Thanks bobcar

we only watch it for news and weather for around 30 mins then we are off , we have virgin+box and i watch films ,sport etc etc that have a grey logo like virgin 1 also just recived mail from panasonic on how to zoom bright logos out and like you said turn the settings down like on cinema ,as i have a thx optimizer on raiders of the lost ark and i change all the settings so no problems there .
Again many thanks and roll on next week when i will go and get my gleeming new panny and upset the wife (as i just put the tv we have now on the wall ) so a new bracket is needed ,sweet.

Just emailed panasonic regarding my choice for 42/50 inch full hd plasma .

In a nutschell , i have a 32 lxd60a lcd panny on the wall which is only around 15mths old , but i have always wanted a bigger tv , and i will be sat around 3 meters max and 2 min , i have virgin+ which runs at 1080i .
I watch sky news for around 30 mins max in the morning and thats it ,the rest is sky movies , sport , so rather than buy a new tv for kids upstairs , i said i will get a new tv and give it them for upstairs. so now what would you do if you was me .
All views would be really appreciated.
