Yeah he seems like a really nice guy.
Always came across as polite and respectful but looks like he can be a good laugh too (Harry Monk comment still makes me smile!).
Very humble… almost to the point of frustration on “You’re Fired”, when defending those who caused his downfall – but again, it’s nice to see someone who remains professional and doesn’t lower themselves to the level of bitching which is rife on The Apprentice.
I still think Sralan made the wrong decision, though I can see where he's coming from sacking Simon. He did loose money and that is pretty heinous but he had Claire to deal with, who I honestly think caused the failure of the task. She showed no respect at all to her manager, Simon and caused a fuss any time she was told to do something. Alex was pretty bad too in the beginning but he settled down and at least tried to get some work done. She just didn’t seem bothered whether they won or lost.
Simon was a good worker, always appeared enthusiastic and always put the effort in – something which I thought made him stand out from the rest. I do think he should’ve been given a second chance but there you go, I don’t think Claire will last much longer anyway… at least I hope not. I guess what endeared a lot of us to Simon probably contributed to his downfall in the end. He is quite an emotional person – very enthusiastic but a few times last night he had tears in his eyes. Never saw any of the aggression which Claire accused him of though.
But yeah, a great guy and probably the first time we’ve seen someone so modest and genuine, without all the delusions of self-grandeur that’s usually associated with candidates. Seems to have won over a lot of viewers too – from the audience on You’re Fired to the Chris Moyles Show team, there’s a fair few folk sad to see him go.
