Yes I'm the same, I can't stand Claire but for me Alex is even lower than she is.

I thought he was a runt from the first episode with the posh guy. His behaviour in that episode was digusting. However a lot of people seemed to think he was "fit"- that I don't get. To be fair the standard of all the apprentices seem to be quite low in comparison to previous years.

Lets look at it this way. He only showed us what it is to be human with all his flaws. This is his survival instinct tactics, the 'fight or flight' syndrome. While I am not defending him this is not the way most people behave. He is in a situation where 'he is what he is' even if that means stabbing someone in the back.

However, and this is a BIG HOWEVER, he could be in the final 4 and I would not be suprised. Some of you may LOVE him all over again.

I agree with this. I think you have to be sneaky to a degree so that you aren't fired, because if you really want to be saved, you have to fight your corner even if you know you made the biggest mistake and deserve to get fired (although i think simon deserved to get fired, as much as i liked him). This is how the show works, they are fighting for one job.
This doesn't mean i think its ok to stab people in the back, and i was disappointed in Alex last night, but if you don't do this you're at risk of being fired.
I aslo think he'll get quite far, obviously to the dismay of many lol

Go Margaret

He couldnt say anything back to her without getting any verbal from Alan Sugar, wasnt it a great moment.

Is that the way he got where he is today, well it wont do him any good in the future as Alan wouldnt want to employ him or Claire

They are just being kept on for good TV.

He should have gone week 1, end of! The guy who was fired then wasn't as bad as people were making out. After all, it was him who teased out the error in the mis-pricing of the fish. Yes, it was his error but at least he owned up to it (something Alex would never have done) and put it right.

Alex as PM spent a disproportionate amount of time banging on about it during the task, wasting time. I remember the whole thing getting on my t!ts. And my disappointment that he wasn't fired instead. Idiot!

He is pretty unpleasant and selfish, but so are the rest of them. I had quite liked Simon until this week, but to be fair, he was a bit of a plonker, too. Usually there are one or two that I warm to; this time they're all quite unpleasant.

Same here and I argued that night over Alex being a worthy contestant. He was an absolute s**t and had no idea how to manage, he picked people to be his top team (which is wrong in the first place) which made others feel like poor relations. He made a divide in the team which was totally down to him. They all looked over the prices with Nichola yet Nicholas was the scapegoat, I was disgusted at that point. Alex is a first class sly t**t and anyone who would employ him would be a fool. The looks don't come into it with anyone who has half a brain

Margaret had it spot on when she said Alex is playing a game.

He's trying to sneak through each week under the radar and make sure anyone else gets the blame. I don't think he's strong enough to actually lead a team properly.

Many of the others are playing the same game though and he's nicer to look at.

So sign up here if you think lanky, naff-tie wearing Alex should be the next to get the bullet! ”

I liked him when this series started, but this week, I just thought he was sly. Sly and manipulative and cowardly, actually.

But (except for his hair), I do think he's good looking.

His problem he has got the slyness without any skills or talent to balance it.

I could admire someone who had slyness but was also really skillful and talented but the slyness is all he's got.

Dont like him, although he seems to be a good candidate. He seems to be watching his back instead of being a team player.

Thanks for that.

Like Charlie I saw through the cloudy Alex love train at the very beginning(Fish Market) and so he could not pull the wool over my eyes.

The rest of the article is mostly right but for me mixed views on Simon-he was one of my favourites.

Alex is not nice. I knew from Week1 he was a slimy character...you can tell it from the way he acts, the way he always tries to manipulate situations and spin blame onto others. Simon shouldn't have gone on Weds. It was unfair.

And he is SO right....

Killing off hero Simon in ep 3 is as shocking as the shower scene in Hitchcock's Psycho...

“Alex is an objectionable, buck-passing, jumped-up, passive-aggressive, know-it-all streak of piss with a short fuse, a sour mouth, and a petty, needling, finger-pointing demeanour. Unless you're a woman, of course, in which case he's a blameless dreamboat. Every girl I know swoons like all the oxygen's vanished the moment he dribbles onscreen, which only serves to make him even more irritating”

Charlie...not so...we hate the cock as much as men do!!

I disagree that Charlie Booker was right.

If he thinks that Simon has any skills whatsoever in business, dealing with people or thinking on his feet in a clear and forthright manner - then I'm afraid he is sadly mistaken!

good lord - how many times did it look like Si was going to cry on Wednesday?

I also don't get the demonisation of Alex - Ok so he might have done a few wrong things - but ffs - the guy is 24 years old - he's got a lot to learn - so ease up on Alex and Claire and Jenny - at least they've entertaining us - and I for one thank them for that.

Oh come one.... buy into the pantomime at least....

Of course I bloody love Alex, Claire and Jenny, same as I love Katie, Saira, Syed and Tre....

But I want to shout 'boo' as many times as possible...

I went to a private school, so I found his reaction to Nicholas de wally interesting as there was a class-based rift and Nicholas accused him of beung uneducated in the board room.

Alex suddenly didn't want to play working class hero and trotted out something akin to 'I am educated. (I got 8 GCSEs and) went to private school' so much for working class hero !

What??? How he acted this past week, and in week one for that matter was every bit as bad, and on occassions worse.
