If you ask me they knew jodie was going to win, they tried their best tonight to get jessie some extra support but they knew they were fighting a losing battle, hence the reason they announced how the winner would only be performing four times a week.

I am certain Jessie will be understudy and eventually leading lady, however I'm not sure how they will go about it. Cameron wanted to produce a darker, more gritty play, closer to the novel, which I was really looking forward to. Jodie can't play this role, so are they going to change their plans and make the play into the movie version, in which it won't be suitable for jessie, or stick with the original plans, and make it uncomfortable for jodie

I think she was somewhere between being really happy and crying at that point.

The part that makes me feel bad is that it was live so god knows what she's like just now

her ALAHNM was perfection, you could believe every word she said, it made me cry, i'm sorry but i didn't get that from jodie

Jessie imho outdid Jodie in everything they did tonight, just another case of the GBP getting it wrong. I am very sure we will all hear good things about Jessie in the future . Jodie you have got to be pleased for her as it could be her one and only chance at the we.

Never felt like this over a tv show. Jessie was the perfect Nancy but it just wasn't to be.

Neither of the perfect candidates for the role one - Just have to wait and see what the both end up doing next and go to see those instead.

Hope she can enjoy herself at the rap party tonight and the others help her to get through it - I think Fran more than the others nows how she feels as she also went out having been superior to her rival.

My sincere commiserations to Jessie and all her fans. I felt EXACTLY the same way when Rachel went out last week. However, I've since come to realise that Rachel going out on that performance will make her career and will open doors for her that wouldn't necessarily be opened if she'd gone out in 3rd place. Jessie going out of the competition on three truly magnificent performances (TS, ALAHNM, TMTGA) will enable her to get that little bit of extra training and will make her career.

I thought Jessie outsung everyone in every performance tonight....and I wasn't that big a fan of hers before.

She looked so devastated at the end...my heart was breaking for her.

The wrap party will be awkward, people will want to celebrate with Jodie but will feel bad for Jessie.

Worst result from a reality tv show (that I've watched!) ever!
Out of the two, Jodie was consistently ok but never spectacular - at least Jessie had her amazing weeks, although inconsistent.

at least she can legally unlike Sam and Niamh

Hopefully she will go and be able to at least try and enjoy it and be happy for Jodie as much as she is gutted at least then she will be able to move on to better things

Poor girl she was robbed. She is far better singer than any of them. And she showed a real on stage bond with gwion.
They looked perfect for Nancy and oliver. I am sure that the production will now be the same old same old. Except with a not as good singer as in the two in the films.
