sorry...that should have been 'symptoms'!

Remember we've not long heard about Amy and Tara (weeks 1 and 3 exits) so that's 2-3 months, and a lot less potentially explosive. We'd still love to know what was in the pipeline for Jessie though. It seems that both ALW and CM want to look longer term to career development than a quick turnover from what little I've gleaned.
The fourth Sunday moping about the result!!

I can't believe its only been 4 weeks since the final RogT! Seems like ages away to me. Well it's probably because I've had all my Alevels exams in the meantime!
I wish those moderators on the bebo page were a little better in giving info on what Jessie is doing. I know they can't reveal what offers she has and stuff but just keeping us up to date in what she is getting up to i.e she's in London for example.

I really hope we get to find out soon what she's up to. I can't wait to go and see her on stage. I'm hoping she gets to release an album as well!

Apparently, according to Jessies cousin, she has been offered the part of Christine in Phantom of the Opera!

Just cos vocally, that wouldn't be Jessie's bag at all. Christine is a shatter the crystal chandelier soprano role and Jessie is the queen of the big alto belt. And Andrew is more aware of that than anyone. Remember that week she did 'How do I live' and Andrew said she was out of her vocal comfort zone but that the role of Nancy (and The Man That Got Away) were perfect for her? Christine would require far higher singing than that.

I don't think Christine is a suitable role for any of the Nancys, because they were chosen for their great lower registers. A Maria would be more suitable. Helena maybe?

Hmm. That doesn't really sound like an obvious part for her, and certainly not at the moment.

Now if you had said she was being groomed to play Christine in the Phantom sequel at the end of next year I'd find that more plausible as the part may be written to be less soprano. Even then it sounds a bit improbable.

I'm just going on what has been said by others!
Either way, is the lack of Jessie news worrying?
I'd have thought we'd be hearing loads about how everyone is desperate to hire her. Or maybe they aren't...

Ooh I do know something that's for definite though...she is down my way this weekend performing at ALW's Sydmonton Festival! Only 15mins away infact...so close but yet so far! lol

you should so try and sneak into the festival or try and get pictures lol i'm worried about the lack of news too, unless she has been offered something and it needs to be kept secret, not sure why there would be a need for secrecy though

Hmm I know! Unless it's something to do with Nancy and they just don't want to let people know because it would cause an uproar or genuinely no-one is that interested in her.

No, I don't think it's worrying. It's very bloody frustrating though, for the likes of us .

When they interviewed Fran in the What's On Stage podcast thingy, she said she'd been offered loads of stuff, but she was in a position to hold out and wait for the perfect opportunity. This would absolutely apply to Jessie. I'm sure she's had heaps of offers for lots of different things, but has been advised to wait for the right part. She doesn't need to take the first thing she's been offered. It'll be interesting to see how things pan out with regard to Oliver anyway, I wonder if Cam is putting pressure on her to keep herself free for alternate performances.

After Any Dream Will Do, some of the bigger roles took a bit of time to materialise. Daniel Boys didn't get offered Avenue Q until after Christmas. But that was an opportunity worth waiting for!

I am waiting very impatiently for news, not just from Jessie, but the others too. People like Jess, Rachel, Sarah are far too good not to be snapped up.

Yeah exactly, she probably will play Nancy at some point maybe for One Night Only! Can you imagine the rush for tickets, I'd Do Anything to get one! (God sorry for the awful puns haha!)
I hope you are right Laurie and I would like to hear news on the others particularly Rachel. Maybe the reason we haven't heard anything is because they are preparing for Sydmonton. I'm guessing showcasing to a group of experts would take a lot of practice!

It would be nice to get some news but it's taken 2-3 months for news on Amy and Tara, who had very little controversy raging.

Something completely different from my wife - isn't it nice to see a load of youngsters obviously totally into the show and Jessie. We hope the enthusiasm lasts; it probably will for many. She is a great role model and interestingly has attracted a load of fans by showing the best quality musicianship of the lot. There could be a whole new generation of MT goers in development!!

I haven't been too worried since I heard about the private ALW thing this weekend..knew Jessie was in that and some if not all of the others so I thought they would be busy rehearsing for that. I still feel desperate for news but satisfied myself that we probably won't hear anything till after that!
I really don't think that no-one is interested in her...that just isn't part of the equation. Cameron and Andrew were definately interested in her! And I am positve they will look after her and guide her well as will her family.
I am not the most patient of people....and I just am so eager to go see her on stage. Keep in touch folks

I am actually quite pleased we haven't heard too much news about Jessie. I am sure there is plenty of interest in her so it hopefully suggests things are moving at a sensible pace. Hopefully she has got herself a really good manager/agent and is taking time to listen to and consider any advice that comes her way. She probably doesn't want to leave things too long before doing something in the public eye as it would be daft not to capitalise on public interest while it is still fresh. On the other hand she doesn't want to over do it and make it seem like she is cashing in. She just needs to do enough to keep interest in her ticking over as she lays the foundations for a career.
