We have a Jessie Buckley Cabaret.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Bridge House , Penge, very near one of the Penge stations. 3PM 22 Sept. http://www.bridgehousese20.co.uk/#!blank/ccgn events https://twitter.com/BdgHseTheatre ............. Jessie's now finished in Miranda and Gabriel at the Globe. ................... Grateful if anyone who spots anything she's in could post. Jessie's not on twitter or active on facebook, as far as I can see, and her agents don't release much news. She's also potentially going to be seen doing almost anything from musicals to drama, established or new, of all types ,and cabarets anywhere.I only found the cabaret because Rachel twittered it. ........... She's also able to look and sound very different - which should hopefully open many roles for her. She currently looks like Miranda, http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/arts/s...cle3754145.ece but there's also Arabella http://www.shakespearesglobe.com/edu...jessie-buckley There was also Stella in Join My Band https://www.facebook.com/pages/JOIN-...type=3&theater or Lee Miller https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...4598592&type=3 Or In Bitter Little Pill http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoUvO4hBUpo or there's Crosswinds, which her agent's site says really is her http://vimeo.com/42101037 |

Jessie's Bridge House Cabaret was stunning. Six stars if that existed.
![]() ![]() She was back with her top accompanyist Joe Thompson. She started with Cabaret sung to new lyrics for the occasion and mimicking Rachel Tucker , who runs the programme there. We had some Jessie classics, and some new numbers with massive power and emotion.. She's got some great new additions and interpretations, and jazzed many songs up brilliantly. We also had a moving IDA duet of Where is Love from Jessie and Rachel.https://twitter.com/BdgHseTheatre Sept 22 comments give an idea and Rachel sums it up https://twitter.com/racheltucker1 22/9. Rachel had her camera out but I don't think she recorded whole songs. ................. That was a priviledge to be at. However, Jessie isn't returning to a singing role just yet.........There's news of whats next. She's continuing her Shakespearian experience and marrying/playing alongside Jude Law - in Henry V at the Noel Coward Theatre St Martins Lane. Jessie is playing Katherine of France, his future wife. http://michaelgrandagecompany.com/wh...#henry-v_page0 http://www.thestage.co.uk/news/produ...dages-henry-v/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catherine_of_Valois This follows Sheridan Smith in Midsummer Nights Dream, and runs from November 23 to February 15, 2014 It means we get to see Jessie play Act 3 ......en franglais.... http://www.online-literature.com/shakespeare/henryV/14/ ........................ |

Jessie Buckley's's started in Henry V. Reviews and photos next time.
She's also done a couple of interviews pre show start This one is about her career, and what she wants to do. There's also the story of how she started singing Jazz. ‘I like feeling out of my depth’: how Jessie Buckley went from Kerry to the West End" http://www.irishtimes.com/life-and-s...-end-1.1591322 This one is more about the play and working with Jude Law."Jessie and Jude" http://www.theirishworld.com/?p=5004 The cast CV for Henry V http://michaelgrandagecompany.com/wh...#henry-v_page2 (under her name) is interesting as it tells us Jessie has just worked on The Boy With the Cuckoo Clock Heart, post Tempest - this is a French animated film which she talks about in one interview. It also has her in Endeavour on ITV. Not sure if this was one I missed, or she is in the coming new series. That would have her back working with Roger Allam, her Prospero. http://michaelgrandagecompany.com/wh...#henry-v_page1 Has a picture of her as Katherine in Henry V |

Jessie Buckley continues in Henry V till Feb 15.
She did an end of year piece for whatsonstage talking about the role and her career http://www.whatsonstage.com/london-t...tho_33063.html She's got a lot more great reviews - with some pictures and lots of good adjectives http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/c...re-review.html delicious - with show pictures http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...e-loyalty.html - sweet. Also with first night pictures of Jessie with Jude. http://www.thestage.co.uk/reviews/re.../39230/henry-v delightful http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-en...s-8981289.html Enchanting. http://www.standard.co.uk/goingout/t...g-8981850.html Captivating http://variety.com/2013/legit/review...w-1200918023/# beautifully controlled. http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/arts/s...cle3939060.ece She's also been singing - once - before Henry V started. She sang Cabaret at Joe Thompson's birthday party, and reportedly made a big impression. Not surprisingly given how she sang it at her Bridgehouse cabaret. The Mail has the story, and a picture -2/3 of the way down the page. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/ar...ty-jungle.html |

Henry V has finished.
There's a youtube with some Jessie as Katherine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMBZnE-SP2E ..................... Jessie Buckley seems to next be in in Venice Preserved, by Thomas Otway. She's back in the renaissance. http://www.venicepreservd.co.uk/ This is a 1680s play - reenacted in a Venice setting ,at Paynes and Borthwick Wharf, Greenwich. There's a boat ride option , Italian food and Jessie......... http://www.whatsonstage.com/london-t...-ve_33720.html Jessie plays Belvidera http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venice_Preserv%27d Its on from 24 April to 18 May 2014 ........................... Jessie has been acting in between shows - to Her Majesty and Kate Middleton. She was part of a reception for the Dramatic Arts at Buckingham Palace a couple of days after .Henry V ended. This seemed to involve everyone from Helen Mirren to Stephen Fry via Helena Bonham Carter, Roger Moore and Steve Mcqueen..... http://www.mp3-reviews.co.uk/2014/02...ars-at-palace/ http://metro.co.uk/2014/02/18/galler...alace-4308204/ Jessie played a scene from Pygmalion with Trevor Eve and Richard Wilson http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...am-Palace.html Readers will note that Eliza is one of the biggest cockney roles around.......... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We have Jessie as Eliza. Doolittle http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/6Vlup...on/CVEPBo7PhpG ........................ If you read Jessie's CV on the Venice Preserved Site, it also tells us that Jessie will be/has been in Foyles War. Possibly this is the series being filmed now for transmission in 2015. Endeavour starts soon on ITV, and she seems to be in that somewhere too - unless I missed her in a previous series. ........................ Jessie has been singing at least once too, with Joe Thompson, according to his twitter - possibly at his club?? |

I said Jessie could turn up anywhere...just found something else she is doing - a bit late, but somone near enough to Manchester may like to go. And she is singing in this one........
She's playing the leading role of Anne in a concert version of Weill's musical The Seven Deadly Sins on April 10 At the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester. She's with the Halle orchestra conducted by Sir Mark Elder. There's a brief description of the work in the link. http://www.halle.co.uk/concerts-tick...th=4&year=2014 |

The write up for the Halle concert says that she's recently been on stage in Henry V with Jude Law. Obviously getting the recognition she needs. Should have said the recognition she deserves.

The Tempest with Jessie Buckley as Miranda and Roger Allam as Prospero at the Globe last year was filmed. Its now coming to a cinema near you and is on screen with multiple chains includng the Vue. http://onscreen.shakespearesglobe.com/#/thetempest. The Globe has a list of venues in a bit of a random order There's also a map .http://onscreen.shakespearesglobe.com/#/findvenue . It starts showing may 28, but many venues are showing it June 30 .
Highly recommended . Very funny. And interesting to see what a filmed version looks like .The video will presumably follow the screenings. ......................... We also have Jessie's next role . She is playing Constnze Weber, Mozart's future bride, in Amadeus at the Chichester Festival theatre. 12 July - 2 Aug. Having married Jude Law in Hnery V, she is next working with Rupert Everett as Salieri . http://www.thestage.co.uk/news/produ...us-chichester/ http://www.cft.org.uk/amadeus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amadeus The less good news is that the tickets seem to have almost sold out- I only just got one....... ....................... Jessie is underway in Venice Preserved. There's some reviews with some pictures. The reviewers are very positive for Jessie, but often not that enthused about marching through Greenwich (into Deptford) to get there. The dates also seem to have changed with bookings now there till June 7? The matinees also seem to have vanished, and some shows reportedly have taken 3 1/2 - 4 hrs includng transit times, so check running times and transport before you go ... http://www.whatsonstage.com/london-t...arf_34314.html has a Jessie picture.. http://britishtheatreguide.info/revi...and-bort-10108 has an even more exciting one... http://londonist.com/2014/05/venice-...-in-london.php http://www.thepublicreviews.com/veni...-wharf-london/ http://www.thelondonmagazine.co.uk/g...ick-wharf.html .................... Jessie also did her concert with the Halle orchestra and impressed some more reviewers - this time with her singing . http://www.manchestereveningnews.co....r-hall-6985687 http://www.theartsdesk.com/classical...all-manchester ..................... |

For those with Jessie singing withdrawal symptoms , I can only offer a few seconds of Jessie singing, and playing a harp on this new youtube from Join My Band.........
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcFbB_o-xf4 ![]() ![]() ![]() ........................... Amadeus has ended in Chichester. No word yet of any transfer. After being kissed by Jude Law in Henry V, in this one she got groped by Rupert Everett..... Jessie was very good at both the comedy and the more dramatic scenes. Readers may note that Constanze spoke with a cockney accent ![]() ![]() - though that was reportedly toned down a bit by the time I saw it. There's some Jessie pictures on the Amadeus site http://www.cft.org.uk/amadeus#-Gallery And some good reviews with some pictures dotted through them. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/leisure/s...tival_Theatre/ http://www.theguardian.com/stage/201...theatre-review http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/t...w-sublime.html http://exeuntmagazine.com/reviews/amadeus/ ................................. The video is also out of the Tempest http://www.shakespearesglobe.com/sho...mpest-dvd/1733 .................................. There's also a picture of Jessie as Bevidere in Venice preserved http://cdn.c.photoshelter.com/img-ge...-pJHO-8142.jpg [ Usual plea - if anyone spots what Jessie is doing next, please post - nothing on her agent's site so far. |

You missed an Observer review, quote:
'The surprise of the evening is elsewhere. Jessie Buckley makes something touching and unsentimental out of the little greedy-guts who is Constanze, Mozart's wife. Buckley used to be best known for coming second in the BBC's I'd Do Anything. Now she must be recognised as an actor to be reckoned with'. |

The only other Jessie news is that Rachel nominated her for the bucket of ice water challenge - but as Jessie doesn't seem to do social media, we will probably never see it. https://twitter.com/racheltucker1/st...61970424619008 |

Jessie, or someone who has stolen her name, is making a short science fiction film called Pulsar. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3531662/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_1
http://www.enterthepitch.com/past-ye...e-latest-2013/ The big rumour is that she's in the BBC's War and Peace next year - but there's only one source for this, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...e-Deutsch.html - at watch out for - para 8 , and nothing since - if you spot anything please post. And the good news is that the Globe have brought out a video of Gabriel with Jessie in it from 2013. For some reason, it doesn't seem to be in DVD form. But it is downloadable . You get to hear Jessie sing as both Kate and Arabella, The first big Jessie scene is at 32-40 - after the gent wearing a trumpet) and the second, comedy one, starts at 1hr -41- in. Well worth 7-99, I thought. In the first one she brings out her soprano, and they seem to have got her to sing some of it over again, to get rid of the helicopters and 747s overhead, so its very clear. The second one really shows off her acting, and comedy talents .....its a bit rude - but a gem. https://globeplayer.tv/videos/gabriel |

Jessie is confirmed as in the BBC's war and Peace, coming 2015. She's playing another princess - Princess Marya Bolkonskaya. If you look her up on wiki , though you will know what happens............http://www.spotlight.com/interactive...=F132816&pub=1
She's also confirmed as being in Pulsar She's also been workshopping The Beaux Stratagem, for the National Theatre. this is a 1707 comedy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Beaux%27_Stratagem. It seems to be part of the NT programme for this year, so something to keep an eye on. . |

We have some Jessie singing, with Rachel from her 2013 Bridgehouse concert.
Where Is Love - Jessie Buckley & Rachel Tucker ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() https://soundcloud.com/racheltucker-fan-blog https://soundcloud.com/racheltucker-...-rachel-tucker its also on the Racheltuckerfanblogspot as a download - but my Norton anti-virus doesn't like the download - so download it at your own risk The Globe has also put up a series of actors talking about acting. Jessie is there talking about acting, Shakespeare, RADA, Henry V and her career ...and giggles a lot too .https://globeplayer.tv/museoffire She's in the alphabetical all interviews section - between James Earl Jones, and John Hurt - its 49 minutes with Jessie.

We now know where Jessie can next be seen - she's back at the Garrick theatre London
She's playing Perdita in a Winter's Tale which she talks about here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...#ixzz3c8kpkDLm http://www.broadwayworld.com/article...-TALE-20150604 This is part of the Kenneth Branagh season - and Jessie gets to play alongside him , and ....Judi Dench . ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() With Miranda Raison too.And as they seem to be doing what the Globe does, and put on two plays at once using most of the same class, she's also leading with them in Harlequinade - http://www.branaghtheatre.com/harlequinade/index.php by Terrance Rattigan. There's she's playing Muriel Palmer alongside Branagh. The bad news is that the Winter Tale is pretty much sold out, and was before they announced the rest of the cast. i think there's a day ticket scheme tho. Harlequinade has some seats left. A Winters Tale runs from 17 October 2015 – 16 January 2016 Harlequinade 24 October 2015 – 13 January 2016. http://branaghtheatre.londonbreaks.com/theatre-breaks/ |

Thank you for your efforts in providing information on what Jessie is doing over a long time. It seems to be about the only place to find anything out - she never was good at publicity! We thought you might like to know it is appreciated.

![]() The Winter's Tale, if anyone missed it, is repeated in cinemas 24th December and again on 3 Jan, . http://new.myvue.com/latest-movies/i...e-winters-tale Well worth a look. The sound is much better than at the Garrick itself , and there's a lot more acting visible in the video closeups. Jessie sings a bit, acts a lot - when she arrives in act 2 , and the great relevation is - she can now dance really well - positively balletic . ![]() ![]() ![]()
