Jessie's Bridge House Cabaret was stunning. Six stars if that existed. She was back with her top accompanyist Joe Thompson. She started with Cabaret sung to new lyrics for the occasion and mimicking Rachel Tucker , who runs the programme there. We had some Jessie classics, and some new numbers with massive power and emotion.. She's got some great new additions and interpretations, and jazzed many songs up brilliantly. We also had a moving IDA duet of Where is Love from Jessie and Rachel.

It also has her in Endeavour on ITV. Not sure if this was one I missed, or she is in the coming new series. That would have her back working with Roger Allam, her Prospero.

If you read Jessie's CV on the Venice Preserved Site, it also tells us that Jessie will be/has been in Foyles War. Possibly this is the series being filmed now for transmission in 2015. According to the TV Times, Jessie is in Endeavour this Sunday, ITV 1, 30th March, 2000-2200, playing Kitty Batten.

She's playing the leading role of Anne in a concert version of Weill's musical The Seven Deadly Sins on April 10 At the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester.

The write up for the Halle concert says that she's recently been on stage in Henry V with Jude Law. Obviously getting the recognition she needs. Should have said the recognition she deserves.

The Tempest with Jessie Buckley as Miranda and Roger Allam as Prospero at the Globe last year was filmed. Jessie is underway in Venice Preserved. There's some reviews with some pictures. The reviewers are very positive for Jessie, but often not that enthused about marching through Greenwich (into Deptford) to get there.The dates also seem to have changed with bookings now there till June 7? The matinees also seem to have vanished, and some shows reportedly have taken 3 1/2 - 4 hrs includng transit times, so check running times and transport before you go ...

Amadeus has ended in Chichester. No word yet of any transfer. After being kissed by Jude Law in Henry V, in this one she got groped by Rupert Everett..... Jessie was very good at both the comedy and the more dramatic scenes. Readers may note that Constanze spoke with a cockney accent - though that was reportedly toned down a bit by the time I saw it.

And the good news is that the Globe have brought out a video of Gabriel with Jessie in it from 2013. For some reason, it doesn't seem to be in DVD form. But it is downloadable . You get to hear Jessie sing as both Kate and Arabella, The first big Jessie scene is at 32-40 - after the gent wearing a trumpet) and the second, comedy one, starts at 1hr -41- in. Well worth 7-99, I thought. In the first one she brings out her soprano, and they seem to have got her to sing some of it over again, to get rid of the helicopters and 747s overhead, so its very clear. The second one really shows off her acting, and comedy talents .....its a bit rude - but a gem.

Well worth a look. The sound is much better than at the Garrick itself , and there's a lot more acting visible in the video closeups. Jessie sings a bit, acts a lot - when she arrives in act 2 , and the great relevation is - she can now dance really well - positively balletic .
