I think Claire's main problem is that she never knows when to shut up! Regardless of how well she did/ didn't perform I wanted SAS to fire her just to stop her talking!

Could not agree more. The girl never lets anyone get a word in edgeways. When the comment was made 'you never back off' never a truer word was said about anyone.

That was why she was eager to jump into Alex's shoes as deputy to Simon when he shirked responsibility, as she feels that she is a team leader every week. As she will be team leader anyway there is no reason to think that she will do anything different to what she has done in each episode so far - do a lot of shouting and telling people what to do, but getting results because most of her team will do what she tells them to do.

She's already been Sara and Jenny's boss once this series, and won the task by miles, so I doubt that they'll argue with her. Jenny might, but she doesn't normally get mouthy when she's not team leader, she just wants to tell people off when she is.

I don't suppose Alex will do anything that she says anyway, seeing as he just sulks and doesn't try, but I can't see him lasting much longer anyway. As far as that Michael goes, he does try, even if he's a bit rubbish in everything he does.

So, there's no reason to think that her team will turn against her, even if one of them doesn't exactly pull his weight. But if he doesn't pull his weight again, and Claire loses and pulls him into the boardroom with her, it'll be him who goes, not her.

Of course it's possible that the teams get totally reshuffled again, but I don't think it will happen that quickly. I think we'll be stuck with the same teams for a while, unless one team loses lots of its tasks over and over again, so ends up with very few members left, at which point one or two from the winning team will be transferred across.

In which case, it'll almost certainly be someone from the other team who goes - either useless Lindy, the only gay in the village Kevin, useless Lucinda or even Raef, who hasn't done anything but stay in the background and not open his mouth for the past couple of weeks. It might even be the other cockney wankah Lee who goes, seeing as his mate went this week and he's no longer got anybody to witter on abaht jellied eels and wotchoo on abaht and going dahn the 'ammers to any more. Whichever one of the other team is elected team leader next week will probably be in the firing line.”

Although I don't like your patronising tone, if you can't beat 'em join 'em; so what you don't seem to appreciate is that undermining the team leader by attempting to control the team and working as part of a team are two very different things. If everything goes well - fine; but it all goes pear shaped, Claire might pay the price for her dismissive attitude to other apprentices to date.

Talk about hedging your bets - you've picked everyone from the other team bar Helene and Jenny M. Anyway fascinating as I find your speculation - it remains just that - speculation. Claire may not go next week, maybe not the week after, but I'll be very surprised if she makes it to the end - and if and when Sir Alan says those immortal words to her, "You're fired," they will be music to my ears.

Just one other point - her face and the tone of her voice when she said "Alex," when he turned on her was priceless. Yes - he may have been a turncoat, but oh the joy!

I wasn't hedging my bets. I wasn't trying to guess who does go. I was just reminding you (and myself) of the likely candidates in the other team. I haven't got a clue who it will be. Sorry if it came across like that - I wasn't trying to do a "name everybody, then come back on afterwards and say Told You So".

I certainly wouldn't have bet on it being Simon this week, prior to the show. He's always come across as being more than capable of coping in any task thrown at him. What let Simon down was his inability to listen to what anybody told him. Which I think was one of the reasons why Claire kept shouting at him louder and louder.

But I'm fairly confident it won't be Claire next week. Because I think that the team (bar one) will work for her next week - she has better management skills than Simon. If she tells them to do something they do it - or at least the girls did in the first week.

Fair enough - but I knew who was in the other team - didn't need a reminder.

One of the highlights of the progamme. I have a feeling that Alex is going to prove to be a thorn in her side.

She won't win as Alan has already told her he only had one nerve left and she'd got on it.

They'll probably keep her in though so we can laugh at her and shout at the telly.

Pretty much everything Claire says is right; she just has a rather abrasive way of saying it. Sir Alan gets rubbed up by her abrasiveness the same as the rest of us, but he also appreciates her talent. I reckon she'll survive to final, and deservedly so.

I agree.

I think Claire has a lot of attributes which Sir Alan also has and you know what they say; people who are too similar don't get on!
They both are very blunt, can spot a weakness from a mile of and want things run properly and efficiently.

She has no talent, Sir Alan has nothing to appreciate except for the fact by some miracle she made it into the final few.

Saying it doesn't make it true. She's won twice as team leader. The first time because she did a better job of managing the task and tracking their sales. The second time because she kept driving her team until the end. Neither time was luck.
