There are two Home Hub handsets on the BT web site - 1010 and 1020. Is either one preferable, and do both work with the latest version of the Home Hub?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

cheers

my thoughts save your money as hub handsets have a lowish earpiece volume even set to the max setting a dect phone connected gives better results in my tests.

others here have also commented on how quiet the hub phones are

Cheers Hypnotist, I'll spend some time browsing through this forum over the weekend. I was thinking of picking up a hub handset on ebay, but if there are volume problems maybe I'll give it a miss. Are there any dect handsets people recommend?

thanks again

mike

i did use a BT freestyle 3200 which worked perfect and currently use a BT 4500 synergy which also has far better incoming/outgoing quality than the hub phones i have. everyone here in my house who used the hub phones all commented how quiet they were, and if you have anything in the background like tv/washing machine/radio then its difficult to here the caller they are so quiet where as a dect is perfectly ok.
