Didn't SAS offer Saira a job in sales?

TBH, I can understand why all three women came second (especially after watching tonight's programme).

Saira - Talking down to a Senior official at Spurs isn't going to bode well and where she lost it (imo).

Ruth - I can remember the guys absolutely tearing her CV to shreads and thinking she's lost it now.

Kristina - There was no way she was going to be the Apprentice after the incident with the sweets. Could SAS really have his company associated with that type of publicity once it had been aired?

Finally, after tonight's programme I can't see anyone with a strong sales background winning. There seems to be something in their personalities that makes great TV but, not SAS's idea of an Apprentice.
God that incident was blown so much out of proportion by people on this forum. You honestly think she wasn't hired because of that one incident?

They were there to win the task, Kristina did what was necessary which was make money. I very much doubt she'd have done that if that was her regular job, but lots of candidates do unethical forms of selling when in the competition to try and win. (Lindi with her tips for example.)

I don't think it helped. And to be honest friends of mine who have had to scrimp and save to put food in their kids mouths found it appalling. No matter how both Kristina and Michelle Malone (sp) tried to dress it up as entertainment there are many people like myself who did not think funny in the slightest. Maybe those of us "who blew it out of proportion" believe that there must be better ways for a supposedly intelligent woman to win a game than taking advantage of children.

Moving on, Kristina said herself that she doubted very much if she could have worked for SAS and there in a nutshell is the real reason why she "lost" and Simon was taken on. Apologies if she was your favourite but, imo she was no better than Katie. Awful, awful person!

You're not seriously equating the child incident to what Katie did are you? Katie undermined everyone she considered to be beneath her , she bitched , she manipulatied , she lied , every week. Kristina never bullied anyone so the comparisons are way OTT IMO.

Im quite taken aback by people making a big deal about Kristina selling to the kids and not their parents. I just found it quite funny, and more cheeky than offensive.

I think you confuse her with Syed

None of us knew her mum killed herself until the last episode

No, I know who Michelle is. I am not talking about her sister's suicide, I'm talking about how she mentioned the dragging herself out of KwikSave into her own business many times....Sir Alan wasn't taken in by Syed in the end, but was taken in by Michelle, as he was taken in by Katie too (and I suspect will be taken in by Jenny/Claire too).

Exactly, it was cheeky but other candidates have been cheeky in order to sell too like Paul S1 which was shown on the show last night.

I honestly don't think there was much to chose between the two women. They are both hard headed ruthless business women who will win by any means necessary. I never bought into the St. Kristina image that was painted on this forum and I still don't. Sorry if that offends those who think that manipulating children, and bringing people's personal life into the BR are legitimate interview techniques but, I just don't see it! I said at the time that the reason the two women disliked each other so much was because they were so similar.

Well, I don't think anyone ever proposed that Kristina was a candidate for sainthood!

Clearly she has a ruthless streak, but that was never going to keep her from becoming the apprentice; look at how Sir Alan dealt with Sophie for not having one. But I she didn't make endless bitchy sneery remarks about wide categories of people (northerners, mothers, women called whatever name she gave her patronising caricature in that task I've forgotten), she didn't wish death on people and she didn't invent fabricated stories of other contestants being alcoholics. That's quite enough to set her apart from Katie.

Michelle Overstepped the mark

Nick Terrible thing to do

Kristina Probably immoral in many ways!

I didn't hear anyone in the programme who thought it was "cheeky".

Paul was cheeky when he said,

"how difficult will it be to get you down to £30.00"?

Guy in chair "very difficult"

Paul "well I'd better start now then".

That's cheeky and very funny not manipulative AND it was with an adult!!

I can remember the forums at the time if anyone said anything against Kristina they were practically flamed.

I do agree that Katie said some terrible things, and I disliked her for it. However, I still believe that Katie being in the programme let a lot of people off the hook and in particular Kristina.

Good show, all about the best characters - Ruth, Tre, Katie, Paul, Saira and Syed.

It was great to see Margaret say what we have been thinking all along. Ruth Badger should have won

Katie Hopkins is the vilest, most obnoxious creature ever to invade the small screen.

You cannot compare Paul's (series 1) selling technique to how Kristine virtually forced those parents to buy from her by putting the lolly's into the hands of the children.

Paul used charm and humour to persuade people to buy from him or give him a good deal, not low-down manipulations like Kristine did with the lolly selling. Some parents who take their kids to the zoo are on a very tight budget which does not include shelling out for an over-priced lolly. That is what people object to. It crossed the line of acceptable behaviour. And I actually had no problems with Kristina as a whole, but that incident left a sour taste in the mouth.

I can't believe people still think the sweets thing was worse than the Selling Kisses incident.

If I was SAS I'd have fired everyone but Sophie after that disgrace.

I wasn't keen on that either, personally, but Kristina was also a great advocate of that idea as well....

I have to be honest I had forgotten all about the selling kisses until Friday's programme. But, yes it wasn't one of her best ideas. What I found more even more surprising was that she thought the women who were concerned about what their boyfriends would think were pathetic!

Haha. The look of sheer disgust on her face after Sophie asked her whether or not she's a feminist.

"Am I a feminist!?"

Like it was a disease or something.

So you think there's something wrong with working in kwik save at 15?

To be honest with you I'd be advocating stuff like that too if I was on that show. Just because you do something on the show doesn't mean you think it's right. You wouldn't get fired from your job in real life if you didn't sell all your sweets you were meant to would you?

I think people forget that The Apprentice isn't really reflective of actual business. Otherwise SAS would be taken to an employment tribunal by every candidate for unfair dismissal!

Had I been a parent I would have refused to pay - wonder if she would have taken the lolly back.
