Major problem with amp

Hi guys just purchased this amp - http://www.pixmania.com/ie/uk/541205...nema-sys.html# And I'm having diffuculties setting it up. I have a philips television, and I have a sky + box connected to it via scart and to the amp through optical but am not getting any sound and have no idea how to, I also have a dvd player connected to the TV by scart and coxial to the amp itself and not getting any sound (only through the tv speaker itself) whenever I select different inputs I get a locked message on the screen. I think I need to be able to connect the amp to my tv to get a picture on the screen so I can go into setup or something. can anyone help me?

You need to have either a HDMI cable connection from the Receiver Amp's HDMI Out or a Component cable connection from the Component Video Monitor Out to be able to view and operate the set-up options.

The Receiver is designed that so that you should be routing both video (except TV) and audio sources through it but you would require HDMI or Component connectivity from the DVD player and Sky+ box for the video. However you should be able to set it up with just the coaxial and optical digital audio inputs but the downside is that you have to switch the audio sources on the amp separately from the TV input sources.

I will be getting a DVD player with a HDMI on monday. Will this help my situation?

I'm just stuck though, I have it on input sat, and have the optical out from sky into amp, then I have the input selection on opt in. and I'm getting no sound what so ever, and I know the speakers work as I did an autocalibration and they made a sound etc... But when I get a DVD player and use a HDMI in and the HDMI out to the TV will I be able to use the menu on my amp?

Thanks Mate
