I love Kristy so much, but Carly has NOT been terrible for weeks atall.

Come Together; Amazing?
Blackbird; Great.
TEOTH; Not great, but still good , a meh performance.
Here You Come Again; Absolutely amazing!
sShow Must Go On; Bad.
Without You; good.

Brooke has been awful since tp 12 and should go

Isn't that down to Syesha and her song choices and performance style? I'd prefer to hear her hold back a little more on technique and sell the story of the song a little more. I don't think her voice is distinctive enough to go down the big belter route.

Carly has the same problem of trying to impress with her vocal prowess and biting off more than she can chew. Her voice is more identifiable than Syesha's but she tries too hard.

To me....

Come Together - Probably her best. No specific mistakes but the key was too high.

Blackbird - Started well then got shouty.

Total Eclipse - One of my favourite songs to sing and listen to. Messed up the words, should have left after that.

Here You Come Again - Another reasonable performance but I preferred Dolly's version, not sure Carly's arrangement worked.

The Show Must Go On - Sounded upset during the song as ifshe'd just been eliminated and was doing her wansong.

Without You - Again, good on the lows, bad on the highs. Overused song but that's Simon's fault.

I don't think Kristy's ever lost control of her voice like Carly has. I think she is making more of her potential than Carly is at the moment and has been more consistent. I also find Kristy a lot more likeable than Carly, which is another matter but you should really be likeable if you're gonna be an American Idol.

Should also add that I agree about Brooke, in fact I haven't been too keen since You're So Vain (top 20) - there's something there but we're not seeing it.

Love David C, if this is him in pain I can't wait to hear him when he isn't!

I dont think any of them are likeable except Carly, but tbh I find that all American type shows, the people come across as really unlikeable.

I missed Friday's show so popped on here to find out the result saw this and must say I agree..he has a great voice and the week he was eliminated he sang beautifully...was very surprised he went

I don't get why so many people don't find David likeable. It should be obvious by now that he's not arrogant, he's a great guy which is part of the reason I support him, and the same went for Kristy although she was obviously a great girl as opposed to a great guy.

I don't find Carly likeable because I don't like that she only seemed to connect with Michael and accused the judges of being hard on her when she's actually one of the few people they seem to give constructive criticism to. I'm sure she's not a bad person but I can't warm to her. Syesha's similar but to a leser extent and with her I don't see a standout personality which would probably be diffeent if I knew her in real life.

Jason and Brooke are nice enough, and Archie's quite sweet even if he has been forced up there which I'm not sure about. I sometimes find American contestants easier to connect with than Brittish ones, but it depends on the contestant, of course.
