CAMERON REALLY DESERVED TO WIN. I THINK ITS DIGUSTING THAT CERTAIN OTHER FORUM MEMBERS ARE SLAGGING HIM OF BECAUSE OF THIS BELIEFS AND PRINCIPALS,AND THEREŽS NOTHING CLEAVER IN GETTING DRUNK,MOST POEPLE WHO GET DRUNK,REALLY SHOW THEMSELVES UP,ACT IN A FOLISH WAY ,MEN OFTEN GET AGGRESIVE AND FOUL MOUTHED,IF ANYTHING BEING ABLE TO CONTROL YOUR ALCHOL INTAKE SHOWS A SENSE OF MATURITY.AND AS FOR THE FACT HE DOES`NT SWEAR,HE OBVIOULY DOES`NT NEED TO BE LIKE THE CROWD WHO`S EVERY SECOND WORD IS A SWEAR WORD.AND AS FOR SEX BE FOR MARRIAGE,ALOT OF POEPLE DO STILL WAIT FOR THE RIGHT PERSON AND IF A BLOKE IS DECENT HE WILL BE PREPARED TO WAIT FOR THE RIGHT GIRL,I WOULD`NT BE INTERESTED IN A BLOKE THAT BRAGGED ABOUT HOW MANY GIRLS HE HAD BEDDED,PROBALLY ALL MADE UP TO OUT DO HIS MATES.

You can only do the best with the material you're given ..... Cameron was determined to win and gave nothing away (least of all his opinions) ..... he sat for hours in the 60's Reward Room and said nothing ..... despite Jon's confrontation ..... he was too conscious of the cameras because he was sober (naturally) ...... he only ever let his guard down in the "wee" small hours of the morning when he thought no-one was watching ........ cowardly old biddy ......

Jon is the only HM ever to have been voted back in ..... 600000 in an hour or thereabouts ...... Cameron only managed just over a million in a week ...... and Jon didn't manipulate that whereas Cameron has been manipulated by C4/Endemol since day 1 ......

Surely the editing, the trip to South Africa and the public's gullibility won it for Cameron...You give Jon far too much power and influence......... ”

Not at all....Cameron won for being himself, something that Mr T seemed to forget about second time around in the house.

Assuming, of course, he doesn't spend 75% of the day in bed in reality

And to state the editing was bad....hmm....seem to recall having the same argument with you re Fame Academy and your dislike of David Sneddon but in that case the boot was on the other foot

Perhaps you are just sore that you can't spot a winner from 20 paces

Quite, I'm not slagging him for not drinking or for not having sex before marriage. I won't even slag him for not giving an opinion (though wonder why he'd go on Big Brother).

I will slag him for one simple thing - being such a fundamentalist as to take parts of the bible seriously - most Christians don't. This leads him to believe that some people deserve less rights than others.

It's not 'just' his religion or 'just' his upbringing - that's his opinion and I can not forgive him for it - all are not created equal in Cameron's eyes.

In that the comment and the subsequent back up for the comment is his belief then that is all that is needed to work out that Cameron is a homophobe...I'm sure now his PR staff have had a word with him he'll try to smooth it over but some people aren't that gullible and aren't go to be apologists for his homophobic beliefs...."man shall not lie with man" quoted direct from the Bible...That's clear enough........

Sorry but dont understand what the 'grow up' has got to do with anything. Cameron won, thats a fact but anyone that has the view that he wasnt what they consider a worthy winner doesnt need to 'grow up' they just have a different opinion from you.
I, personally, didnt like Cameron and I'm very disappointed he won. I am also a responsible adult who doesnt need to be told to 'grow up' by someone that doesnt know me.

No, because he quoted a passage from Leviticus for pity's sake!

Leviticus, the most irrelevant of books in the modern era - quoted, word for word. There's only one group of people I've ever met who do that and that's fundamentalists who believe homosexuals are an abomination who will burn in hell and deserve no rights.

So, it's not just the statement - it's elaboration to knowledge of others who've made that statement. How can you justify the statement, anyway? I've nothing against gays, but they shouldn't have rights?

So he doesnt like poofs.....so what?.....Why do people have to be forced to like certain people?........for years now people have been indoctrinated to believe that they must like them for some reason and if they don't, they get told theyre a "homophobic bigot"!

Actually, you'll find regular occurences of homosexuality among the animal kingdom so it's not that abnormal. It's also been prevalent throughout the history of mankind with out adverse effects so what's the problem?

What if it's simply part of genetic programming? Do people with other genetic mutations, such as Down's Syndrome deserve less rights because they're not normal?

Well done Cameron!!

Cameron wasn't the only housemate that I liked but he was the only one that I voted for. His reaction to winning was a delight to watch. I know what has been said about him. I do have E4 and i've seen what everyone else has and no i'm not blind/deaf nor stupid. I can make up my own mind on who I like and I don't take kindly to having things rammed down my throat (eg. Kate Lawler on RI:SE).

I would have been happy for Steph, Scott or Ray had they won but i'm fair chuffed that Cam eventually won.

Some posters on here pounce on anyone who has a different opinion to theirs. Unless they have a good argument to make they should stay quiet rather than the 'you're an idiot' posts they very often make. I like a good debate and I like to read to all valid points of view regardless of who the posters support.
”

Jax, I think I love you!

I've watched E4 a lot, and found Cameron fascinating to watch. I'm not really interested in whether BB "fixed it" for him to go into the Diary Room or not, the fact is, Fed would have still been an arse, Sissy a whinger, etc etc whether they were in South Africa or Elstree, and would have been evicted as soon as they were eligible anyway.

As for the editing, I've watched BB long enough not to trust a single thing that's shown on the C4 show.

I agree with you about Kate Lawler on Ri:se too, she got my goat when she said "I don't think Cameron has done much to deserve winning" - and YOU DID???

As to Cameron being homphobic, my father-in-law is the most homophobic person I've ever met in my life, I still love him to bits. He's got a good heart, and would never hurt a fly, he's just very misguided about a lot of things. If he ever met and got to know a gay person, he would no doubt change his blinkered view, but until then he's entitled to his own beliefs, right or wrong.

There was a "contraverisal" conversation on the chat you all missed pity that.

"Well man shall not lie with man", er... there is a lot of conflicting information in the bible, and it depends on how it is taken. Personally I don' think that homosexual people are the work of the devil; in fact they tend to be the most honest and lawabiding.

Also, let's clear one thing up. Homophobia is when people are scared of their own feelings, so they create a barrier of feeling on top of that to protect themselves. The case mentioned is NOT homophobia as there is no phobia at all. It is his beliefs. However wrong they are or seem to be. There is no person on this earth to judge if anything is right or wrong. However, if god makes every human being, then surely he has made homosexuals huh ?

Perhaps he doesn't condone buggery (sorry I do not know any other term) but then again, I think putting your "thing" up a girls arse is sick too. The hole was made to do the toilet - not to put a penis there - that goes for men and women. It serves no purpose other than to crap out of, to be crude.

Also, if he is any sort of religious man, he will tell the PR staff no way is he changing his image. I associate relgion with integrity - and to change your image for money/wealth/status is a sign of greed - an immoral thing in my book.

freedy you say it is not normal. It must be normal if it exists, even within the animal kindom too. The only explaination I have is that humans were controlled by their survival instinct in the past before civilisation so there was no active homosexuality, but now the need to survive doesn't really exist any more, homosexuality is a method to control the population I think anyway.

please see here to continue the religion thing further if you like

Well done Cameron, he seemed to appreciate the prize and the winning more than any other contestant.

Is that such a good thing ? Working with young people I have seen first hand the pressure, pain and heartache that comes from the mentality that you need to have sex before marriage. Peer pressure often pushes young girls and boys into early sexual activity this can have major emotional and physical consequences. Be proud of your " I don't know anyone who hasn't" views . I am happy to know the reverse is true for several folk I know. ”

I am not talking about 14 yr olds going out and having sex, I am talking about grown men and women. For a 32 yr old to still be a virgin, that means he hasnt had a serious relationship which is unhealthy for a man of his age. I am all for young kids keeping their virginity, but Cameron is an adult man.

I would be horrified if my daughter came home and told me she was marrying a man she hadnt lived with, let alone had sex with. Marriage is a serious business and you need to know someone in and out beofre taking the leap. People like Cameron have unrealistic views of sex and marriage.

Well Done Cam

Very refreshing to see someone different on our TV for a while instead of the usual 'media stereotypes'.
”

I agree, he was not as media 'savvy' as the usual bunch of wannabees, he may have extreme views but, that could be his upbringing, did anyone else notice his childlike reactions to every event last night, some will say it was like Macauley Culkin in Home Alone I found it rather endearing and I hope he matures with all the attention he will get for the next week or so and I like to think he will learn to have slightly less extreme views.

With 70K in his back pocket, bet the church will want a bit more than a piano.

Well personally I want to be anything but normal. Do you really want to go through life fitting in with everyone elses ideas about how you should behave and what you should do?

My youngest brother is homosexual. If you could have been there and seen the heartache and emotional agony this caused him in adolescence, making such a smug, self-satisfied, intolerant and small-minded comment would be beyond you. Our own sexuality is not something we choose. Can you remember the day you woke up and decided to be straight? If you're anything like me you've been intrigued and aroused by members of the opposite sex for as long as you can remember - you didn't chose for it to be that way, it happened. It's no different for homosexuals.

Nobody's asking you to like gays. If you expressed your disapproval of homosexuality, no intelligent person would call you a homophobe - when you continue to say that you consider them 'not normal' and imply their inferiority, that's when it becomes homophobia.

 Still banging on about this bodders. That tiresome thread fizzled out ages ago. Whichever way you interpret Cameron's reply is now irrelevant. He won That proves that the majority of viewers did not agree with your extreme interpretation. OK you are entitled to your opinion but do we have to have the same posts repeated over and over again

Perhaps 'Grow Up' is the wrong phrase, but I would just say accept it, it isn't world peace or anything that important, it is only a game show after all. It is a relief from our daily tedium for nearly 3 months of the year, if you take all the speculation and post mortems. We will all find new diversions, many here are frantic about Fame Academy, it dosn't have the same sense of event for me, but then some would say I am sad. I shall have to find something else to get frantic, upset, bored, disgruntled, wonder why I bother, disgusted and delighted with.

Mt god I may have to start doing some work, help.

If, as has been suggested elsewhere on the board, there is some question of improper actions about phone lines etc. Then it is the civic duty of those people to inform the authorities and if they can find evidence then they should tell the police, the broadcasting authorities and as many newspapers as they can. I await the results with some interest.

I will be around for BB5 and expect the usual 'banter' when it gets closer.

But when it comes down to it, how are our lives better or worse because a fish trader (however successful) from the north of Scotland won 70K and got his picture on the front of the Sun for winning a game show?
