I've not joined in these forums for the past 9 weeks for the same reason.

I have found it very strange how some people have been saying how crap bb4 was and how they hate it, but they watch it every night then come on here and rip the show apart!

If you think the show is crap - don't watch it! It's simple!

Don't listen to those who can't bear the fact their chosen one didn't win and yes...it is only a game show and one which doesn't involve a lot of talent (I mean Kate Lawler won last year )

I do love the DS forums but you have to understand there will always be the conspiracy theorists on here and those who think one thread from them will change the voting habits of an entire nation.

My response has always been to keep my tongue firmly in my cheek when responding and not give a FF about what is said about me in response

I think you'll find many of us love the forum more than BB. We come here to have a laugh and a bitch . You should have joined in, you might have had fun! Some people have been coming to the forum for years, so even though they may moan about BB and the HMs, they are actually letting off steam and having a laugh You should have joined in.

I do agree with you on most points. However I do believe that Cam going to SA was a big point in his favour. It should have been a competition with all the Hms knowing the prize ....and he had all of Scotland behind him as well

I would have liked to see more individual views than those that are followers of ‘Tickle’ who is really a working stiff like the rest of us anyway.

and Dan L, the above posts aren't abusive as such, merely suggesting that if you had an opinion you could've/should've posted earlier and contributed to the DS debate...actually that's much the same as those of us who've objected to cam and questioned him and his supposed character! difference, debate, opinion and courage of convictions is to be respected and celebrated...unquestioning/unexamining, insular, 'hiding' with the odd snipe when noone is looking/your enemy is down already simply isn't worthy of respect or being given much credence!

Thing is Dan it's worked both ways as people on here have been just as nasty towards Jon. Difference is his fans have defended him with the aid of facts.

Remember that age-old piece of advice, never feed the trolls. When someone opens a thread with an insult to the majority of FMs, you know straight off they are fishing for trouble, not trying to ignite a genuine debate.

I'm with you on this Dan. I have found that most of the ppl on this site are Bias , nasty and self oppinionated .Looking at the times they post it seems they are on here all day and night so it would seem have nothing better to do. It's sad that they find such pleasure in doing this . Typical bullies but don't have the bottle to do it face to face they have to do it on a site like this where no one knows who they are. Sad.

This forum has been my constant companion over the past 9 weeks as I have a window open with it on when I am at work and also when I am at home (generally working too). An awful lot of my friends are fans of the show and this forum is an extension of that.

I have found quite a sense of community (and hopefully a few firm friends ) from the hundreds of people that post on here and I get involved in the debate too. But that's all it is. Debate. We know it. Maybe you should too.

All my opinions that I have voiced on here I would happily say to anybody in person as they are my opinions and I stick to them. I'd like to think that the majority of the people on this forum would be the same. Unfortunately I believe it is people like yourself and the other naysayers on this puerile thread that would not speak your opinions in public. Now don't come back and say, "If you say anything bad about Jon you get shot down/If you admit you're a Cam fan you get slated/It's because you lot would all tear us apart!" etc. etc. as it's been said before and it's getting incredibly tired now - this is a discussion forum! Put your point across! If you say something ridiculous or you state something which you don't or can't back up with facts or fair hypotheses then you'll just get torn limb from limb! It's nowt personal!

Although it's a gameshow, for me it is something more - it's my sport. If a fan of football gets passionate about their favourite team (or biased towards their team as the two virtually go hand in hand) and rips apart/boos/heckles another person for supporting their favourite team it all goes with the territory. Football is only a game. BB is only a game show.

As for the people who then start to get personal with the FMs by saying get a life and get out more - I for one don't have a life becuase of work. That's my choice. So my entertainment comes from shows like BB and forums like this - Bite Me.

Have you considered that there may be a significant amount of people who can't go out? Who can't 'get a life'? They may be disabled, or otherwise unwell and a forum that promotes community like this one can sometimes be a very important tool in recovering or managing daily life.

That's about it for me I guess. I would just say that it takes almost as much time to read these threads as it does to post them so, as you haven't joined in the discussion, I would say that you have wasted your time more than I.
