Argos and the Hitachi HDR082/162 revisited
I notice that Argos' site now say for the Hitachi HDR161 that "This product may be substituted with model HDR162 which is of a similar specification but cosmetically different". Similarly for the HDR081.
Is this a recent change, or have I just never noticed it before? I wonder if anyone has bought one recently and notice any 'cosmetic differences', like Series Record for example? |

I havn't noticed that before either and even though it's at the bottom I feel sure I would have seen it at some time if it's not a recent change particularly when they changed the Model Number and description from HDR162 to HDR161. If they are now getting recent production units I would have expected them to be the LP CI Slot T825 units.

I instead think they are more likely to turn out to be plain T825 units (i.e. no CI slot, no USB and no low power mode).

Perhaps Hitachi decided to hold back on the release of a series record machine until the software had been improved. I wonder if that time is now? Can't find an announcement on their website though.
