Slug And Lettuce
Have a voucher for money off a meal at the Slug and Lettuce, which I may use today.
Does anyone know what the menu is like? Is it quite cheap? What would you recommend? |

I have never eaten in one, but you can download a menu here, and get an idea of prices.

The food is likely to be similar to most chain pubs in that its made at a factory and warmed up on site.

It may be made elsewhere and warmed up, but it's a hell of a lot better than most chain pubs.
I haven't been to a Slug and Lettuce for years, so can't comment on the food. I guess it is similar to All Bar One? |

But yes miles behind a good real restuarant, but thats not what they are. Also i mentioned burgers, its leagues ahead of macdonalds! Note, i'm talking burgers here, we all know thats ground up "meat". I would never ever waste my money on a steak of any kind in such an establishment. They could just never do it justice. |

exactly, they taste better than many others, and even ready meals from supermarkets. Definitely one of the higher quality pub chain food.

To be honest though, is there really any point on going out to eat at somewhere which can't serve up better quality food than supermarket ready meals? You might as well save your cash, and eat a similar microwave meal at home!
So your bolded bit, macdonalds have customers, so there must be. |
