It sounds kind of like Annie Lennox to me

Sorry, not sure on the song, but I've got another BB music question!
The song played during Nush's best bits - anyone know what it was? It sounded like Kylie to me!

It was Kylie - 'Please Stay' from her Light Years album.

Now for the other one...

No luck yet, still trying. Nobody seems to know what it is, although several people have said they think it might be Paul McCartney/Wongs.

Indeed it was (I wonder if that was Freudian... )

Hopefully the Birth/Sure Took Magic details will redeem me.

Hi,

Just watch the BB - The Winner's Story. Does anyone know
the artist and trackname for the instrumental music in the
first 20mins of the programme and on the last 5 mins. The
track featured mostly bass and banjo-type guitar.

Hmmm... just whizzed through my video (I was out with the dog when it was on!) and the last music played (during the Cameron 'highlights' and the credits) was the 'Sure Took Magic' by Birth track again.

Couldn't hear any music in the first 20 minutes.

What was happening when the music was on?

(I love questions like this!)

Found this link for Birth/Sure Took Magic which has the song and video at the bottom of the page.

I'm not certain, but weren't the vocals in the programme female?

No. It was an instrumental. No words was spoken.
It occured twice in the programme. 1st around 15-25
minutes in and next before 5 min before end. Both
times it occured _before_ the Birth - Sure Took Magic track.

It starts with a bass line, then drums comes in, then
the main riff. Its about 1-1.5 years old by an indie band.
(Starsailor, Turin Brakes, Elbow, Doves ...?????)

Any idea???

YOU ARE A LEGEND!

I knew if I persisted long enough, someone would know what it was! Thanks a lot mate.

And I'd like to thank everyone else who assisted me in trying to solve this mystery. Particularly "Father", who kindly made the sound file for me, so I could play the song to people in the hope they'd know it. But also all those people who had guesses as to what it might be, those who looked through their tape of the finale, or even those who just posted anything in order to bring the thread back to the top of the pile.

You are good and kind people, one and all.

Ok I've got it... now don't get excited I don't know the tune yet (in fact it doesn't sound familiar to me) but I've located the points in the program it was used...

So... if anyone else has 'The Winners Story' on tape and would like to help MonkeyPants out...

1. Approximately 20 minutes into the program, Cameron is back in the BB house. The music starts when he relives walking down the BB stairs for the first time (the footage shows him sitting on the stairs during the interview and then cuts to him walking in the first time).

The music continues to play as Cameron goes over his thoughts of the diary room. The music is particularly clear when he enters the diary room (as he opens the door the music fades up and there are some brief but difficult to understand words).

2. Just before the highlights at the very end of the show, Cameron and Gos are in Chicago and the music starts again just after the clip when they are standing outside the 'Motherhood Maternity' shop.

The music is very indie sounding and rather pleasant I have to say.

Good luck with the search MonkeyPants, don't know if I can be any more help.
