I notice the new model has a usb port. Will it be possible to download files stored on the hard drive, directly to a pc via the usb port ?

In terms of file transfer MP3 and JPEG files only...not Video (page 83 User Manual obtainable from Panasonic UK Site).

thanks for the info..shame it doesnt have the same function as the humax pvr 9200.

Panasonic just tease us with these features. 5 years ago they producted a 400GB HDD + VHS + DVD recorder with an ethernet port and two tuners. Sadly that ethernet port didn't allow file transfer to or from a PC. Otherwise (oh - and of course the unreliability) an ideal machine.

Will they EVER deliver what we want? Do ther ever listen?
