Brooke is the new VFTW pick after Kristy's elimination.

At first I was a little surprised, but it made me realise that the 6 contestants are all very very good. Brooke probably was the best choice but still love her.

I dont think Brooke is the worst. IMO Jason is.

Have to agree with you there, Jason has done nothing for me at all as yet. The fluttering of some eyelashes and grinning like a cheshire cat alongside some mediocre singing like a busker, I'm surprised he's got this far.

Nice enough Guy I suppose, But I have heard better singing at Primary school concerts.

There's a certain an irony that people don't like the way these types of competitions are seemingly manipulative but they don't mind being told hold who to vote by a site like V.T.W.

There's no shame in busking - plenty of good musicians started that way. Bob Dylan for exampe. I Like Jason's laid back style and his ability to play guitar and ukelele. You don;'t have to have a powerhouse voice like David Cook to be good to listen to.

If the VFTW people think Brooke is worthy of being their choice, good luck to them as long as it keeps votes coming in for her.

She is far from the worst. Jason "One Note" Castro, David "One Breath" Archuleta, Syesha "One Expression" Mercado and David "One Song" Cook are all worse.

None of the remaining contestants are 'the worst' really. For this kind of competition, Brooke and Jason are the weakest vocally, but they would not be the weakest all-around if this were a competition based on overall talent.Their talents just are not necessarily suited to a show like Idol.
In any case, ALW week will probably see Jason go regardless, as the producers seem to want the 2 Davids, and probably Carly and Brooke, for the final. Syesha is technically the best vocally left by far, so she may be tough for them to send home unless they set her up for it.It will be her or Jason leaving, I think.
ALW week will be toughest for Jason , as intended. That is what I predict, weather he deserves to go this week or not.

Thank god i'm not the only one that think Jason only ever sings one note. I do not "get" him whatsoever and cannot understand how he's even got this far. Syesha is also becoming a bore and really needs to go home before Brooke does.

No, the worst of all is Carly "One Friend" Smithson. Can't control her voice throughout a whole song and only connected with Michael.

Not surprised Brooke is the new pick but if Kristy was their last pick then their new one should've been DC - they obviously have good taste if they supported Kristy, so did I!

Faria, I remember you from the x factor forums, and I think you're a total sweetie pie. But as a fan of Carly, I think you're reading way too much into her off the cuff comment about Michael. She's allowed to be friends with him and miss him when he's gone. It doesn't make her a bad person.

For me, Brooke is the worst by a country mile and has been for a long, long time. But I have to hand it to the girl, obviously she is accomplished at charming people. Seems like she has worked her magic on Andrew Lloyd Webber too.

I said she wasn't a bad person but I wouldn't like to think she didn't find the other contestants good company because I love David Cook and Kristy so much! Michael seemed to be good friends with David, not sure about Kristy but he seemed like a nice guy even though he wasn't my favourite singer in the competition.

I also think Carly's often the least pleasant to listen to (it does vary from week to week, and there are worse singers than her (IMO) who hjave been eliminagted like Ramiele. The "One Friend" comment just worked well with the comments GIU made about the other contestants.

I'm still very upset that Kristy was eliminated and I honestly enjoyed Carly gave the weakest performance last week so I'm annoyed that she stayed in and Kristy didn't. I hope she'll give a good performance this week which will help me to warm to her - I like her studio mp3s. I wasn't sure about Gina last year, she wasn't always too good live but I loved her studio mp3s so she ended up as one of my favourites. David and Kristy will always be the stars of Season 7 to me but if I can warm up more to the others then I'll like that
