Conceding to Welbeck (twice ffs) and Cleverly should be punishable by point docking.

This level of performance isn't good enough and now we're slipping down the table. We're not getting anywhere with Paul.

Another bad result for Villa and I worry about us getting dragged to bottom of the table!

Lambert has to go now.

I wanted to back him, I wanted him to succeed, but we've been outplayed at home by Crystal Palace. No fight, no passion...not good enough.

Lambert is a shambles. 3 defeats in a row so you would have expected him to get the players up for this game. Nope. Crystal Palace had the better chances and won. So that's 4 defeats in a row and bad performances to boot.

Sadly we're now in a situation where even if we got rid of Lambert it's still gonna look bad. Look at all the rubbish in our squad.

The only hope we've got is that Benteke will return to form. But why would he wanna stay?

Well the honeymoon is over for Lambert now. He got a huge negative response. Lerner won't sack him though. Never does during a season.

I cab see us getting sucked into a relegation fight now,,,and i am not sure Lambert will have our players up for it.

If you are going to play counter attacking then you have to press high up the pitch, starting with our strikers, we don't start pressing the ball until the opposition are in the last third, which puts everyone under so much pressure.

Its awful to watch, and its nowhere near good enough.

Aston Villa were one of my relegation picks before the season started, any three from at least ten clubs could easily finish in the bottom three though, could be the tightest season at the bottom of the league in years.

An absolutley disgraceful performance yesterday from Villa, went to the game ( what a mug) and we got what we deserved in all honesty.

I've heard all the "Lambert Out" comments and tbh I agree totally. The signings he has made, bar a few have disapointing and the team I watched today is not Premier League standard. We had Benteke, Vlaar out injured which are both big losses as there are no other players able to step into the breach.

The biggest concern for me is the defence, with Vlaar out we are there for the taking. I dont know about other Villa fans but having Baker and Clark at the back fills me with dread. They are both not good for this league and whilst Luna has been an okay signing, hes been error prone of late. At right back, Lowton doesnt look as good as last year. So its no wonder this side hardly keeps clean sheets, even though we have a very good goalkeeper.

Th other thing we lack is creativity in the middle of the park, today it absolutley showed. I saw a stat that at halftime we had 67% of the ball in the first half but no shots on goal which sums it all up. Despite the lack of goals this year, I dont think we are weak up front. Benteke, Gabby, Andi and Kozak have goals in them but our style of play with the lack a creavitive player pulling the strings in the midfield makes it hard for them.

We must spend money in January and about £20M in my opinion in signing players that can make a difference, so we dont get dragged into yet another relegation battle. The chances of Lerner providing that much money are remote I would say and even if he does, Do you trust Lambert in buying the right players?!

Lambert Out!!!

Its curious. I'm not surprised some of you want Lambert out now after this season's performances but I don't understand how he could've suddenly got it all wrong. He did well at Norwich, not just getting them promoted but he managed to get them to hold their own in their first season back in the Premier League. He then moves to Villa, struggles at first but then they show signs of big improvement by the end of your first season under Lambert.

After that I expected you to kick on from there yet you haven't so I'm completely mystified by it all. Certainly it hasn't helped that your greatest asset from last season, Benteke, isn't firing on all cylinders this time but again the question has to be asked what's changed? Why are he and the team in general not performing as well as they did last season?

I'm left asking myself two questions I never thought I'd ask and which Villa fans may not want to contemplate: Is Lambert actually doing any better overall than his predecessor, Alex McLeish and did Lambert actually have better resources to work with at Norwich? I ask the latter as he never seemed to struggle there, even in the Premier League.

Of course I say all this but you were in a similar position last season and you then improved dramatically so I wouldn't necessarily write Villa or Lambert off for this season either.

27% football possession at home against Swansea.

Our beloved Villa is dying folks. It's really sad to see.

We didn't deserve anything out of the game. We're a shambles.

Sad times when the only positive I can take from a home game is "we didn't lose."

Says is all about the situation we are in, we get passed off the park by Swansea at home, who also had 17 shots and our pass completion only 56%!!. If I were a Swansea fan I would be pretty miffed with the final score.

Happy to see us get the win away at Sunderland today which keeps us away from the bottom of the table for the moment!

Just hope we get in a few experienced players in January to help out the squad!

a much needed 3 points.

This is going to be an interesting January for us, concerning the transfer market. Lambert has a chance to show us he can do something about the rot that is setting in. We are desperatly short of experience and quality in midfield

Well it looks like Lambert will have to get a new striker in the transfer window as Kozak has broken his leg and will miss the rest of the season!

What do Villa fans make of Jack Grealish? He's had an excellent loan spell with us at Notts County and we need to keep him
